  1. I would say that people accusing Israel of Apartheid are uninformed and likely racist. It is hard to fault the Israelis who continue to try and make peace with the Palestinians who clearly want to kill them and hold the position that they won't stop until Israel is destroyed.

The only people perpetuating the violence in that area are the Palestinians who refuse to join Israel and won't stop attacking them needlessly.

  2. The funny thing about it is that they were formed to replace the private security that the airlines used to hire, which was more effective than the TSA.

  3. Oh, I hadn't heard that they stopped using the x-ray scanners.

The millimeter wave machines put out less radiation than the airport's radar, does the radar concern you? I have never heard of a study tying harm to millimeter wave machines, but I also haven't heard of studies being performed on them at all. As you are more keyed into this I am sure, have there been any studies that you have heard of?

  4. The machines the TSA use are X-ray backscatter machines. They use less energetic x-rays than an actual medical x-ray, but you still get exposed to radiation. When a FOIA request was made on these scanners for their maintenance records, it was found that many of them were out of calibration and were giving significantly higher doses, as well as leaks outside the machine. Do you want to trust your medical health to an organization that isn't forced by law to maintain these machines in any way?

  5. So, as the summary points out, how do you expect to travel when they have the same things in Bus and Train terminals, and they are setting up checkpoints on highways now too?

  6. Here is something to consider. The TSA doesn't secure private aviation. How many private jets, or even Cessnas have you seen used in attacks?

  7. Especially since they have the option to just authorize the film instead of just suing. What would it hurt?

  8. Especially since there are other examples of starships in the series diving into gas giants, what difference does it make where the pressure comes from?

  9. It is so nice to hear others are having the same issue. I assumed it was on my end.

For me, it only seems to log me out when I go to reply to replies to my comments from: http://slashdot.org/~Coren22/c...

It is less clear when the ad states "free ebooks here", as the site may have every right to post the ebooks for free. Google isn't the police, it is not their responsibility to police the internet trying to find every pirate. It is the publisher's responsibility to contact the web site with a DMCA, if they ignore it and don't delist the book, then you move up to their ISP, if they don't, you move up to their Peering providers. You could also sue the person who runs the web site with a lawyer to speed up the process. Nowhere in that order of events did I mention that Google has any responsibility, as they do not by law have ANY responsibility. If he wants to try and sue Google, he is more than welcome to, however, he will have to find a lawyer that will risk disbarment over such a stupid lawsuit.

Very few Youtube blocks are actually inaccurate. Did you know that using a song, that you haven't gained permission for, as background for your video is still copyright infringement? It seems that many video uploaders have a serious lack of understanding of how copyright works.

If you are the original source for the music or video, including all audio, then and only then is the block completely wrong. If you gain permission from the publisher/author/singer to use their music or video in your video, then the block is incorrect.
