    Elon Musk threw the patents into the public domain and asked other companies to leverage them [teslamotors.com]. Apple will do that and then build on top of that with their own R & D investments.

    They will then sue Tesla for copying their look and feel while Tesla is providing parts to their flagship car.

    The very fact that your software requires a privilege escalation every time it updates indicates you don't understand security. Most people have no way to know what your software does when it updates, what is to stop you from having a Trojan load on your update? There is nothing, whereas your "rival" adblock requires no escalation.

    Yes, actually, it does seem you do have such issues. It said he was holding on to that amount of Bitcoin, not that it was his.

    It sounds like the only thing your parents did wrong was the form of motivation, not the activities. Perhaps other forms of convincing would have been better instead, but the activities you list are ones that most parents "make" their kids do. It sounds like they just used the stick too much instead of the carrot.

    In a country with no legal guns, the attacks still happen. How will taking guns away from people who don't attack others solve the problem of the insane attacking others? How will taking people's guns owned for self defense stop attacks on other people?

    I did some looking, and I am coming up dry on Xeon Laptops, are they on the way and don't exist yet? There was something about a Thinkpad P series, but it is unavailable from Lenovo. Who sells Xeon Laptops?
