    The fantasy is returning space mined minerals to Earth. If you consider the costs to get some of those materials into space, the asteroid mining makes more sense.

    It would be more appropriate to talk about politicians not understanding enough of chemical reactions to make sensible regulations. Either the diesel engines break one side of the regulations, or the other. None of the car companies could make a diesel engine that passed the regulations, VW did it by cheating, but no company was able to do it without cheating in some way.

    Also, it is much harder to balance a budget when the income is unknown. The reason Clinton was able to run a surplus was a thriving economy. He handed off the bubble popping to Bush, and a looming crisis in the housing industry to Obama.

    Um, were you reading a different account of the incident than anyone in the courtroom?

    The car was stopped.
    She was a passenger.
    The cup spilled when she removed the top because the foam of the cup failed.
    The burns happened in 2 seconds, not 15 minutes.

    I imagine that the two nuclear blasts, and probably the test blasts were far more powerful in the EM spectrum than most of what we broadcast for TV.

  24. Yeah, TPM is a hardware encryption chip, it could be used for DRM, but mostly it is used to store the hard disk encryption keys so you can boot Windows without having to type in a decryption password.

  25. If you feel this is true, link to a single benchmark that doesn't use the intel compiler, and shows an AMD chip outperforming the i7-5960x. Otherwise, you are just blowing smoke.
