If the majority of the population doesn't even show up to vote, that is a de facto vote against the system. Nobody can claim a mandate to govern under such circumstances.
Constitutionally that may be the case however the current system is based on party (partisan) and voter apathy. There will always be a certain segment of the population that clings to party lines because they believe the shit their party is throwing them and will gladly shovel it. The rest of us realize the whole damned system is rigged against us and don't have the will to change it. It's a nice lesson about theory and reality.
He didn't just travel in time but also traveled interdimesionally. Lets see, String Theory gives us 11 dimensions if I remember correctly. Whew that just threw a monkey wrench into the works. Now discuss.
OR....seeing the hot chicks, he thought of doing something else with that bionic arm of his on another part of his body and due to a glitch in the message queue for his arm, the arm immediately started doing what he wanted to do on his extremity - the hand made a fist and the arm started jerking up and down very rapidly on the steering wheel causing him to lose control of the vehicle.
DAMN that's wrong...SO WRONG but I couldn't stop LMFAO.
So define the internet and where does it originate, then ?
In this case it is irrelevantwhere it originates. All we need to know is that someone else is providing the signal (idk RF what ever)to the hotel. Any sane court or politician can see that they are paying another comppany to provide them with a service that they make available to their customers. You have to prove that the hotel generates the signal without the help of another entity.
I'm sure the hotels could fight the ruling. They have many things going for them such as....they're a hotel damnit. How fucking stupid is this? I assume no other ISP in the country provides living quarters and a complimentary breakfast bar. Not to mention the internet service does not originate with them. They are simply a bulk account of the TRUE ISP. I thought they only dreamed up stupid shit like that in the USA.
I thought you said Microsoft. Egad... you did say Microsoft. What's the world coming to when MS is stealing a patent that obviously belongs to Nvidia or AMD? Hell they can't even build an OS that doesn't suck. What would they know about GPU's?
Honestly I'm beginning to think I'm better off with a hardened router with no upnp enabled and rules for traffic on certain ports. a good firewall is a convenient way to track what programs are going in/out but the AV sucks up too many cpu cycles.
just uneducated or unconcerned. I talk with a lot of people every day and people calling in about password resets fit into 3 catagories:
uneducated, not concerned and stupid. I've talked to really smart people who couldn't be bothered to remember the password of an account they log into once a month. I also talk to older folks that didn't grow up with computers like we did and then there's the stupid ones that just can't grasp such concepts as 8 characters with numbers and letters. The poll is faulty and should be ignored.
DO I HEAR 400? 400 GOING ONCE 400 TWICE 400 SOLD TO THE MAN IN THE TRENCHCOAT. Damn got to stop watching those Mecum auction shows on HD Theater. Seriously though, what other reason do we need this besides spying on people?
I hate roller coasters etc but that would be the ride of a lifetime. I haven't really kept up with Burt Rutan and his spaceships but I can't understand why it's taken so long to roll this out to the general public. I can't wait till it becomes cheaper.
But unless it's included in a Windows update it's useless. This is a band aid for the real problem: users have a plug and play mentality and don't give a shit about computer security untill they are infected. The only way you can win is to educate the younger generation and hope they don't make the same mistakes their parents have made.
and when china workers stand up for rights then manufacturing will just move to next cheap place
That might work in India but it's not likely in China. The Chinese government has absolute control of what its' citizens see, hear and think. Anyone remember The Tiananmen Square protests in 1989? By some estimates there were as many as 3000 people killed and countless others injured. The government also purged officials who were thought to support the liberal students and intelectuals that started the demonstration. I seriously doubt there will be any Chinese workers standing up for their rights if the jobs go to another country.
That's because we owe them money and we're in their pocket. There was a time though when we could tell everyone to go fuck off and it would stick. I expect we won't be able to do that again till we pay them off.
Sorry I'm not following here. If the man can't see your votes while you are behind the curtain how is he going to know when you send your vote in from home.

I'm going to hell for making these lame jokes about the poor guy
At least you'll have lots of Slashdotters with you.

LMAO man you deserve some mod points for that remark. Unfortunately I spent all my points. ARRRR.
What he really said is "We don't want to fight your fight. Now pay me or fuck off."
I know he's marking his territory...I just wish he wouldn't do it on the neighbors lawn.
LMFAO yeah that's too much information.
Mine likes to shit everywhere.

Obligatory post but still should be modded up. Where's my points?
what kind of screen protection they are using. If you buy a device like this with no screen protection you get what's coming.

Don't buy the next version of Photoshop because it's now winshop. Way to take a good thing and fuck it up.
