  1. This.

There's a word for what patent trolls do, and the word is "extortion". You don't extort from people who are likely to put up a fight.

I see no reason not to. My "No soliciting" sign keeps most of the salespeople away, and the few who knock are easily gotten rid of by saying "leave my property" and shutting the door.

On the other hand, there have been times when people have knocked on my door because they were having an emergency and were in genuine need of help. There's no way that I want to let them suffer.

If so, then we can be wrong together.

    Also, exceptional battery life.

Graffiti wasn't a great selling point for me. I mean it was OK, and probably the best solution given the technical limitations of the day, but it wasn't great.

However, the battery life was a huge selling point for me (it's still one of the top three things I look for in portable devices). That, and size and weight -- the other PDAs available at the time weren't even in the same ballpark.

I've seen the original twice, and the director's cut once. The director's cut is OK.

What I find irritating about the movie is that it's so close to being good. And I agree that the aspects of it that people tend to rave about are pretty great (cinematography, mostly). I also can't fault the acting. I have serious problems with the script, but there are other movies with sub-par scripts that I love, so *shrug*

I can't really explain what it is I don't like about it.
