  1. You're getting close on A Decade of Agile Programming — Has It Delivered? · · Score: 1

You almost got it right, though electronic delivery is not a requirement of Agile. The Agile manifesto was created by successful software developers that did not want to sit around creating reams of documents. The Rational, six sigma, and other process folks were getting out of hand, and companies were starting to impose heavyweight processes on people who didn't need training wheels. Solution? Call what you're doing a process, sell it to management, go home.

Oh that's right, instead we should have 3rd world countries use all the affordable clean energy sources that secretly exist somewhere.

  3. There is already an interest expense on Offset Bad Code, With Bad Code Offsets · · Score: 1

on Technical Debt. Why make it higher? Carbon offsets are necessary because it's cheaper to pollute and there are no interest expenses. Not true for technical debt.

Seriously, I don't understand how so many slashdotters got through the article far enough to form an opinion on it. I got to the 2nd page and couldn't take it.

  6. Re:Assuming... on "2012" a Miscalculation; Actual Calendar Ends 2220 · · Score: 1

Today's Mayan language matches that of the original predictions as much as English matches Old English. Pretty much unintelligible. Also surviving Mayan's are predominantly the uneducated variety, selling imported calendars on the roadside without much understanding of their meaning.

  7. FitLink exercise log on Open Access To Exercise Data? · · Score: 1

I use the free exercise log on FitLink. Decent exercise database and a run mapper tool as well. Social features, but no device integration yet unfortunately.
