I still have my mid-1980s Apple videos about Applecare, Laserwriter repair, and Hyperdrive installation. I get no points for exoticness, though, because they're VHS, not beta.
My favorite moment is in one of the repair videos, where it shows the technician crossing fingers behind the back before discharging the CRT anode.
This reminds me of the prank wherein you draw something on a lawn in fertilizer. Later, after the grass has had a chance to "color up", the colorful words or pictures show up.
I wrote an electronic message to Congresswoman Heather Wilson (Republican representative from NM) which got me a personal reply on paper.
On the other side of the coin, I have more than once found Sen. Jeff Bingaman (Democrate Senator from NM) to have nonworking email. Of course it isn't necessarily the Senator's intent to ignore his emails. It may just be that his system and/or crew needs an overhaul;^)

So long as we're postulating side-effects of playing video games, how about preparing those skillful pilots to kick saddam's booty in 1991? People who were young adults in the early 1990s constitute the first generation to grow up with video games.
