there are 2 posibilities that Global warming could lead to global cooling.

1)is that increased temp would mean higher humidity leading to more clouds. Clouds reflect light. thus less light get to the surface, so there is global cooling.

    2) is that the melting Ice caps will cause a shutdown of the currents in the atlantic & Pacific (Gulf stream etc) that moderate the costs of those contenets.

There was a show about it on PBS. Strongly suggest you find it and watch it.

Very Cool. Wish I could remember the name.

Does it say why (if there is global warming) by 1500 AD all farming comunities with in the artcic circle had been abandoned? (The last to go was greenland @ between 1450 - 1490)

Does it explain why Britan was once a major exporter of Grapes to the Romans.

Does it explain the Inuit abandonmened the upper artic islands by 1500 AD.

I don't think it was global warming guy.

the big problem with the evnviorment is that there is NO simple answer. yes the data on that chart may be accurate. yes it may show gloabl warming. but it may be out of context.

also since we (the human race) have only been consistantly recording weather data for the last 80 or so years so where did they get the data for the last 1000 years?
