Let's see... a dev machine in front of the firewall but with internal network access... no tripwire, promiscuous ports all over the place... wow. Wish I could do that.
Think about it for a second. If everyone set up their machines like this,...
Run NMAP on your local college's net......Some of the boxes at a certain college around here *cough*GSU*cough* still run the FINGER daemon, for gods sake..
You can sell video tapes and people will pay for them..Yes, you could just rent it from blockbuster and make a copy, but buying the original would have much better quality.
It's the same with CDs/MP3s. In the end, people just take the easier route.
to charge users....But what about ads (preferably blocked via junkbuster)? I know quite a few people who'd choose opennap or gnutella over a subscription-based napster, so those who pay will end up paying more. Not to mention this is a perfect chance to profit off napster...
I've got a similar setup where I work. I have a USB keyboard that has a PS2 port in the side, which I hooked up to a nice trackball, and use the PC's ps2 for a standard mouse...It keeps all the people who walk by and use the comp happy.
Personally, ever since I laid hands on a MiniDisk, I've often invisioned popping them into my pc instead of floppies... But then I have some weird ass thoughts..

Quoth the editor: "Nevermore"
Last time I checked, CCTV stood for Closed Circuit TeleVision..... Unless these people have hearing issues....

Although, if the whole privacy thing was a joke toward Intel, it's forgiven.
Makes you wonder if the deCSS song will get you pulled.....
