    For this it is far, far too lucrative to compromise it.

    Just think: An ID that lets you basically take over the life of someone else. There is no way you could possibly keep this secure. Even if I have to throw near infinite resources at it to compromise it, it's worth it.

    This cannot be made secure. And anyone with a hint of a brain cell between his ears would try to stay away from using something like this for as long as it is humanely possibly.

    We had a separation of church and state a while ago. I think it's time we get a separation of commerce and state. That would be a good start.

    The idea and theory of Capitalism didn't take huge multinational corporations into account that basically hold governments hostage these days.

    Free entry to the market? Where? Name a business where there isn't already a WalMart, a Google, a Kraft Foods or another corporation that pretty much not only dictates how and if you can actually exist in that market, more and more they also dictate the relevant legal environment.

    This has nothing to do with capitalism anymore. That system is broken.

    What we're upset about is that they kept the page running and kept children on display for the creeps to wank over. That they used those children as bait.

    Ponder for a moment if you'd be all right if your child was abused and the pictures of his or her abuse are then used to lure some more pedos into some police sting, allowing these pictures to be distributed further and further, since you don't know whether those that get those pics from that porn page distribute it further.

    If they took over a drug ring instead, they probably would have run it way longer. It's kinda hard these days to generate funds for ... certain operations that you can't really have in your public budget.

    Child porn just doesn't generate any money, so it's ok to shut it down after a while.

    It's way easier to ignore some random Reddit asshole than the biggest asshole in human history. Let's be frank here, even the biggest internet trolls combined don't come close to being as obnoxious as a guy who tried to exterminate an entire people.

We want the non-mobile version of your damn webpage on our mobile phone if we go out of our way to pretend we're not on a mobile device. Because guess what: Your mobile version almost invariably sucks and is unusable. Forcing us to use what YOU want us to use instead of allowing us to choose what WE want to choose leads to us not using your service at all.

    The end justifies the means is a rather dangerous attitude. Because the end-goalpost can move quite quickly. After all, disagreeing with dear leader may destabilize the country, and who would want that?

    You got that wrong. To the right, the problem isn't that gays were offended, the problem is that being called gay is an offense. But in today's political climate, you have to rephrase that.

    They're not outraged that this was somehow "homophobic" (How so?). They're outraged that Trump's been called a fag.
