    Not likely.

MD Players/Recorders are not lossless. At least not most. The way they stuff 74 minutes of music into 140 mb is quite similar to MP3 compression - lossy.

    Right on.

Generally people cannot see if anything is wrong with themselves or their immediate surroundings.

Many US citizens believe that their country stands for something that is really doesn't.

  4. Plural of Lego: Solution on Engineers Use Legos, Too! · · Score: 1
Lego as a concept cannot be plural, because concepts and schemes cannot really be plural

If everybody talked about the Lego pieces/"bricks" then the problem would go away: piece/pieces, brick/bricks.

That is, by the way, also the most common way to refer to Lego in Lego's native country: Legoklods / Legoklodser.

    Just my .02 cents

Ever noticed how the people struggling the most with their grades (read: getting bad grades) are the ones taking the most notes.

I believe in taking notes, but how can anybody learn anything when writing down a whole lecture word by word? -dennis

  6. Not what it's hyped up to be on What Is XML And Why Should I Care? · · Score: 2

One hears a lot about XML this and XML that. XML isn't really that complicated. It's basically just a textformat with built-in structure (markup). Don't get me wrong. I do think XML is very useful,. But I certainly also find that XML is a bit misunderstood - especially in the media. "XML Primer" was I good book I read on this. I don't remember the author though. Oh yeah, and um "first post". -dennis
