Did I mention methodology? My criticism is of the sloppy stuff that gets through because of the clout behind it. Everything needs to be reevaluated, by a more diverse group of people with less interest and more clear headed logic. It wouldn't bother me if the whole lot was rejected and everybody started over.
Win-win! I see no problem at all, only obstructive people with no vision. We will make our personal paradises without bumping into each other. The whole concept of 'jobs' will be relegated to the past, where it belongs. And finally the means of production can be personalized and made more portable. It only gets better, except for the people part. People can fuck up anything, and rest assured they will try. Loss of social status is not to be taken lightly.
Eh, you could be right, but past history shows that politics and economics disrupt all human endeavors, including those in science. The sharks are everywhere, and they smell money.
I would say the finding confirms that unconventional research that falls outside the established lines of thought may be more prone to rejection from top journals.
It's typical human politics and ideology at work. What would you expect from a large group of people, all with vested interests?
My tiny violin is so high pitched you probably can't hear it. It turns out the only problem with automation is people. Now they will have to dream new ways to make life difficult.
Start small. People can built their own robots, ones than that build better robots. The question of 'ownership' becomes moot. Yes, the sociopaths among us will always be trouble, but they will never again achieve the power they have now from their lofty towers. Maybe the robots can help weed them out.
Nope, I am just saying copyright is censorship. The rent seekers can find another model to work with. They are the ones getting everything for free. And another thing, if intellect is going to be regarded as property, then I want to collect a tax on it, like real property.
Yeah, you should have been there when they tried printing the first books! A whole industry of writers guild were up in arms and tried to have the press destroyed. Nope, screw the rent seekers. Enough of the special privileges. Time for them to come down to earth with the rest of us schlubs.
There's always the brightness control. I suspect most people set it too high.
Why isn't it just a thin wrapper on systemd?
Oh, that's cold, man!
:-) pfft... I turned karma bonus off

You had me thinking the lander came back to life.

Logic isn't a strong trait with you, is it?
You can do it... right now! This second! Boom, done.
So... what happened? You still believe? :-)

Yeah, just be careful with the baby pics
Well, now we know what Soylent Brown is
Not even your body... Just try to take your amputated leg home and mount it on the wall.

There's nothing to 'solve'. People just have to stop believing bullshit and quit acting like animals.
That's hard.

You're living in the 19th century, and the only problem with this issue are people who cling to the past. Apparently you are following their example.

Yes, we all know that the graveyards are full of people who had the right of way.
Just keep your distance and all will be well.
