    That all sounds very American to me. Just the facade is different.

    For example: "...all these ideologies, from reactionary Maoist [democrat] to free market wingnuts [republican], compete within the communist party [no official name, just call it the ruling party]...

    "...These different ideological factions control different bureacracies and branches of the government...."

    Yep American... I believe they call them "committees". You need lots of clout to get on one..

    And then:

    What is going on, is that these factions are competing for power by trying to suppress criticism of themselves, while allowing people to attack their adversaries.

    Doesn't sound particularly Chinese to me.

    Nothing but an argument over price, and a devaluation of the dollar in the market two years after removing the gold standard. Old stock had to be used up before they could bring the new prices to market. It's an accounting thing. And I do believe it happened again in '79. This whole OPEC thing was a ruse. And the "strategic" reserve is just the government propping up the market, a bailout of sorts, kinda like government cheese.

    It was more than heavy handed. it was criminal. Whatever privacy she expected online doesn't matter. The only issue are the criminal acts committed against her. There should be charges leveled against the school officials and the sheriff.
