    Yes you do. The system is corrupt by design for the sole purpose of protecting entrenched interests. Putzing around with it will fix nothing. Out it goes!
    When a car has a fatal flaw, you damn well better redesign it!

    You can't win unless you cheat. That is what the system in general rewards. Liars win elections, thieves win on Wall Street, bullies become sheriff. Cheats and bullies are top dogs in today's society. They are the gangsters who write the rules. Bitcoin is just another chapter. If there was no way to cheat, it would never have gotten this far.

    if the Higgs boson formed (like all other particles) some time after the Big Bang . . . then the universe was filled with what were then massless particles.

    You do see the flaw there, don't you? Which came first? The Higgs boson, or the particles? And "massless particles"? Sounds like that requires no small degree of faith..

    The system isn't "gamed". It is working as designed. What is "gamed" are peoples' psyche. Well, actually it's an easily exploited biological vulnerability. It might be patched in a couple of hundred thousand years if the species doesn't reach the end of its life cycle first.

    None of that precludes equal protection under the law. Everybody has the same rights as a journalist, or any other person. As such, we all have the right not to answer to any authority. Unfortunately the average person doesn't have the heavy weaponry needed to protect those rights.

    Then you should look for people who don't spend money on campaigns, and vote for them. Don't wait for them to come to you asking for handouts. Whatever change you all are looking for will have to come from the voters. It can't happen any other way. When you vote for crooks, you can only get crooked law. Don't expect them to kill their golden goose of gullibility that keeps them in office.

    Many of the "jobs" of the NSA are classified. It is perfectly plausible that this would be one of them. Since there is no oversight, we should always assume the worse. Chances are they will have gone well beyond whatever you can possibly dream up.
