Serious engines are powered by ethonol or methonol so why can't we use it in our cars. This would also keep our american farmers very much in business.
Just today I said something to our MCSE when he was talking about how hard it was to use linux and how it would never take hold in the market place. Now for the funny part, he was at the time installing these cool new network cameras that he has been telling everyone about. Check out this site the camera has linux as it's operating system. http://www.axis.com
Yes you idiot I am the dude that wrote the frigging VCL clone for linux that uses GTK for it's rendering. So the answer is yes I know each and every GTK, GDK, and GLIB call. Casting shit via macro is not object oriented. Every single problem we have is due to the inflexibility of the supposed class (struct layout). Take for instance this situation, I wish to place a label inside of a text box how do I do this cleanly. Oh guess what you cannot. Now why can't I do this. It is because you do not have a common ancestor. Now prove to me that GTK is object oriented, it is about as object oriented as VB.
Yes lets talk about those two for a minute clueless idiot. 1. GTK is not object oriented no matter what anyone says. It is inflexible, slow, and just generally a piece of crap. 2. KDE is not much better, the main gripe I have with it is the damn signal slot meta compiler crap. It is near impossible to put pascal wrappers and object model on these toolkits without just about starting from the ground up.
Go for it Bill, I bet that the govt would be changing to another operating system very quickly. Since of course it is the govt and military that insist on US made software and rightfully so.
Damn, I am fighting back tears, that was the most intelligent paragraph I have seen here. Yea take a look at GTK what a crap ass kludge. Sure you can write a GUI with it but you cannot write a good one with it. Qt is a little better at least it has a solid design. That preprocessor signal slot crap is total bullshit and leads or will lead to totally non portable code. Now lets talk about make files, what a bunch of shit that is also. This is the year 2000 people make files have long outlived their usefullness. How about something just a little better.
There is only one big thing that Linux needs to overcome before it will ever get any desktop penetration. X HAS GOT TO GO IDIOTS. Joe home user could give a damn less if he can hang 50 clients off of one box. What matters is that he can play doom on his old piece of shit video card at more than 4 FPS. Hell I got a decent card with voodoo accelerator and that even sucks under linux. I have wrote my share of code under X-11 what a flexible - unflexible heap of slow junk. How about someone putting together a single user mode linux and fork the kernel. It is time to put the graphics subsystem in a place where we can get some speed out of it. Screw X all of the widget implementations suck because of the inflexibility in the x windows system.
We had two of those expensive ass servers in our shop. The MCSE goofballs could not keep the piece of junk up for more than four hours a shot. What a piece of worthless crap. I guess hanging multiple users off of a piece of crap os is not a good idea.
You are a damned idiot. I have programmed windows platforms for over 8 years now and I can tell by your post that you damn sure don't code. I cannot tell you how many times of late I have tried to use some MS api or library call that has no business being tied to the browser. They intentionally place calls to browser just to tie the browser even more. Hell I bet the MS developers are required to put #include explorer.h in every single library they make reguardless if they need it.
Fire anyone that has absolutly anything whatsoever with the mars polar lander. If you do that a couple of times new employees may really give a shit about a successful mission. I am willing to bet that the next launch would be perfect.
Perl would look the same as it does today, ugly, non-readable, non-maintainable .....

The Lazarus Project is the only game in town. Megido died a long time ago.... Cliff

You answered your question retard. It leads to nice clean and readable code. I could say the same thing about {} why do I need those.

It's time to come up on free net tonight. I am getting really tired of the regulatory bodies trying to put a finger on the web.
