    I actually found that doing my CCNA at one the physical cisco academy's very usefully having 20 routers and switches to play with makes the course so much easier. I even went in on my day off and did some additional experiments to get to the bottom of some OSFP strangeness. And to pass you have to be able to fix a real broken network

    I believe some people hook eu kettles up to the cooker circuits to get round that problem.

    Seeing the tesla version of the lotus doing the same course as its donor car its was blindingly obvious that the extra weight made the tesla handle like a pig - most ./ users haven't done any mech engineering so me talking about inertia moments and so on wouldn't have made much sense.

    yes I thought that a high speed charger would also need to hook up the car to a cooling loop so that you didn't blow the battery pack up

    err did you see the side by side comparison Top Gear did of an original tesla vs the donor car the handling difference due to increased mass was very obvious.

    Only up to a point if you have seen some of the stuff that employers get away with in India you would not be surprised they want to run a way - also not having property stolen by AK toting gangsters is a plus as happened to a college of mines family back in India - or if your a Muslim or a low caste person American even on h1b term seems like the promised land

    A huge amount relative to the total in Scotland I sat in on a debate recently in Glasgow and its a major issue for all the civil service - Scotland doesn't have a lot of high paying middle class technical jobs and there is a risk that a lot would be repatriated back to the UK after devolution,

    Not going to work for important jobs. I used to do international interconnect work between Telco's having a link fail because my opposite number was on holiday is not something I would want to put up with. Though I did learn never to mail anyone in France telecom during August :-)

    Not for professional salaried staff in 99.9% of cases - but then I always calculated my toil at OT Rates oh you send me an a mail I had to check on a Sunday ok that's minimum 4 hours @ double time plus a day well that was BT's rates. Formal on call was £350-400 per week on top of that - some DBA's where on 4/4 and got called once or twice a year

    You do know that the FBI also has the Contra Espionage and terrorism Briefs and as you get so upset about using the military on US soil the FBI have a valid justification for using drones etc or would you rather use a manned helicopter with all the expense and additional risk that entails.

    weather having a police force do serious work like CT and CE is a totally other matter I think the FBI should have been split after Hover died into a traditional police force and something closer to MI5 or actually use the Secret Service to do it an have the FBI do the non secret bits of the secret services job
