    Just found this flamebait in newsfactor network. Usually these guys write decent news, but this one is horrible from osopinion Scott McCollum.
    He calls DefCon thief convention and goes like:
    At DefCon, hackers and other unsavory computer criminals -- along with law enforcement officials and potential employers dumb enough to hire hackers as "security experts" -- converge in Sin City to discuss innovative ways to subvert democratically elected authority through hack attacks and to steal from large evil corporations and/or individuals for redistribution to the proletariat via the Internet.

    No problem... I have been up and running for approx 6+ hours from battery with my Ericsson R520 while testing GPRS network.
    And yes, I was actively using the net.

    Probably not, because all those GPRS solutions tend to be behind firewall so you just dont have a real IP.

    We have GPRS network in Estonia running for some months now. Its cheap compared to yours - only $2.2 for Mbyte and no additional fees.
    I have Ericsson R520 GPRS phone, and it rocks.
    I can be online and talk simultaneously, send email (it has built in client), have IR & Bluetooth connectivity and so on...
    btw. Its triband phone so it works in US too.

    Its not just NASA, its whole military problem. Very big percent of US military economy was depending on existence of enemy (USSR). When the archenemy collapsed, they had to find new arguments. But there really are none... so here we go again with starwars II (NMD) and such crap.

    (and the war machine keeps turning)

    2 insignificant corrections:
    1. China is *not* a dictatorship, its of course not democratic or libertarian in american sense...
    2. This principle of warning hundreds by prosecuting one is way older than thousand years. I would suggest 2-3 thousand years.

    I just tried to convert from exchange to lotus and the major showstopper is native mac client!

    The mac client I downloaded from lotus is java application and its so sluggish, people just said they have no time to use that.

    ...but outlook is definitely a native mac application.

    Other than that its of course clear that lotus notes is superior.

    I would be very surprised if most amercans here would say: "Yes, we live in deep shit" (in which you IMHO are:)

    Its definitely natural for anyone to protect his status quo. And NOT to think (or talk) about negative parts of everyday life.

    Exactly the same sort of propaganda made russians in soviet union think that they are most free and leaders and blablabla....

    If you look place most free, its definitely not some G7 coutry or probably any BIG country...
