A 20 year old can't just easily get multiple firearms and a bulletproof vest unless there's a large enough legal market to make a huge supply.
A psykopath was arrested last year here for assaulting multiple caseworkers. He said he wanted to kill all of them, but he was too chicken to use a knife and while he tried to get several firearms, it was just too difficult for him to get, so he as a desperate last effort tried unarmed assault.
Many lives were saved because guns were hard to obtain.
Please stop whining about freedom at every turn, it doesn't just blindly apply to everything.
Oh wait, you probably whine to the airline, demanding the remove the black box of the plane.
I already have 1/1 Gbit fibre. I don't need google for that.
The US needs to stop getting bumf*cked by telco's. Bandwith caps, carrier locked cell phones, etc. just sucks.
Don't make a successor like that, I think it will likely suck or at least will be shied away from by gamers. They should upgradet the original game to modern graphics and interface. Keep the original story and characters. (heck even hire the original voice actors) This would be way better
Small teams, very small business and community projects will be greatly screwed over by this. Many can't really afford or has enough money to spare for this.
I am part of 2 business that uses google apps. If the free version hadn't existed, neither of them would ever have moved on to the paid one.
Sad move by google.
1. So what, I don't mind paying more for games or paying for more additional content. Everything in the world is more expensive, except games, which are around the same cost as they were in the 90's, 20 years ago.
2. I don't want to sell it, I don't want to trade it, If a friend wants it, they can buy it. I think Steam and Origin will be around in 10 years time. Physical copies were way worse, they broke, got scratches, stopped working, CD keys ewnt missing, etc. I don't buy physical copies anymore of any game or program.
3. What is a "full game"? You're right this might be a bit of trickery. But like collectors editions, I like that the option is there to pay for more content, even if it goes beyond the original game.
4. That I actually agree with you is annoying as hell. Stores and download services shouldn't have unique content you can't get anywhere else.
Or you know, we have a job and make good money. i don't care if I have to pay for additional content, often I buy it even if I don't have the time to play it. But I don't have problems with money either, its so little you pay for a game or DLC.
I am one of the people who don't mind day 1 DLC. Games are dirt cheap, so paying like a 500th part of my monthly salery for a DLC is no big deal. I blow more money than that on way more frivolous stuff.
Our business is small and most of it dependent on a single server. Outages are rare and easy to fix with minimum downtime...Having the FBI confiscate the server would be a bigger and more dangerous threat.
Its easy to panic. My driving instructor put the car into cruise control on the high way without having told me how to turn it off again. I didn't really know how braking would affect it and might get hit by other drivers...so shit yeah, I panicked. It happens and then you really can't think straight on anything like you can when things are calm.
Right, it was really brilliant...lets throw everything away, have Joker be a coward, Shepard an idiot, all your choices not matter and crew members magically teleport across the galaxy.
You're right, what a brilliant ending. Some people like eating turds too, that doesn't mean major restaurants should serve turds.
And the whole point of Mass Effect is that everyone could have their own story line, which means it should generally be fit to everyones liking, not pander to a very small segment. Btw, I didn't vote on that poll either, so our votes cancel eachother out and it still stands.
I don't even care if I have to PAY for a proper ending...I just want a proper ending. Try and imagine if Harry Potter had ended as poorly as Mass Effect 3, J.K.Rowling would have been hung by millions of irate fans.

Read the news again. They're not fixing the ending, they're EXPLAINING IT...so basically Bioware doesn't want to admit having made a mistake and just want to act like its US that has made the mistake and just need it better explained to appreciate it. NO NO NO Bioware, this really isn't good enough by a long shot.
Just because people liked the glossed over, little sense and plot holed ending doesn't make it any better.
This isn't just an ending of a book or a movie, where you're following some other characters doing the same thing for everyone. This is an involved interactive game and therefor there's much more at stake for the ending, as its wrapping up half a decade worth of personal choices and involvement, which unlike movies and books, are somewhat unique to each person playing the game.
Does it make sense that Joker turns into a coward? No...Does it make sense that your team mates magically teleports across the galaxy? No...Does it make sense that Shepard all of a sudden completely changes character? No
Is it forfilling to know that your only choice is to strand the superfleet on earth (who can't even sustain them), kill billions, undo the peace you worked so hard for? No, not really.
Is it forfilling that your hero after half a decades worth of work only amounts to a sheepish crap choice? No, not really.
Is it forfilling that Bioware directly contradicted their own promise of the ending?
Is it forfilling that all your choices and work all through the game doesn't even matter whatsoever? No, not really.
This here sums it up nicely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M0Cf864P7E
1. I already have glasses, which means I can't use google glasses 2. It can be used by creepy stalkers and pedo's taking pictures and video.
This is assuming we classify people as animals.
Call me back when guns serve a functional use like transportation.

I've run a full blown Windows 7 Professional on 256 Mb of RAM. It wasn't a speed freak, but it ran.
If my home was driving around on the streets and a potential danger to others, a black box in your house would be fine then.

For 250+ dollars a year, you can get better email service sadly. :(

This is a great thing and a great improvement...but a delicious cake with diarrhea excrement all over it still tastes like shit.
Seriously!
