If you consider the incident with ``let the sinless throw the first stone'', you are advocating a society in which guilt is determined only by those who are not, themselves, guilty. That is ludicrous, particularly if Adam's original sin is taken into account.

You missed the point completely. Do you think you think the saying "people who live in glass houses should not throw stones" is a call to arms for brick house owners? Please.

Second, Jesus is advocating a quasi-communistic, merchant-less society. This is prevalent throughout all of his writings. ``Go sell all you have'', the incident in the Temple, etc. etc. Again, this is naive and ridiculous.

What is naive and ridiculous is your grasp of Christianity. You should have paid more attention in Sunday School. The "incident in the temple" had to do with the merchants defiling a holy place. If someone tried to set up a hotdog stand directly on top of your family grave site would you be ok with that? If you asked them politely (yeah right) to relocate would that make you a communist?

I'm not even going to bother with your other points because they are laughably weak. If this is the type of attack that Christians can expect from atheists nowadays then they have nothing to worry about.

Often times "that guy" has a parent who is tenured faculty who keeps pulling his ass out of fire when he gets arrested by campus police for the 10th time. Invariably goes through multiple uni's without finishing his degree which is quite a feat considering it's really not hard to graduate with at least *some* kind of degree even for those who do not enjoy carrying the academic yoke (speaking from personal experience here).

Your post reads like some sort of "reefer madness" type propeganda: "watch out for drugs kids, they will take control of you and blot out the self!".

And for the record the sports analogy is particularly bad. Sports are presumably built around the concept of a level playing field and that is one of the reasons why performance enhancing drugs are an issue. Real life does not recognize the concept of a level playing field. It's dog eat dog and the bigger/faster/smarter/richer dog wins.

Let me clarify a little. I have encryption enabled and I do get high speed downloads, it's my upstream that is throttled to hell and back. Upstream usually floats around 1 - 4 k/s. Once in a while I will temporarily get a fast upstream connection to some other client and I assume what is happening here is I am connected to another Rogers user so it is exempt from the throttling rules. If I force all my traffic through a ssh tunnel then suddenly my upstream shoots up near where it should be (80+ k/s).

My guess is that under normal circumstances Rogers is able to identify the traffic patterns of p2p (tons of connections to many different clients) without needing to look inside the individual packets. They then go ahead and close off most of the connections which results in the throttling. If I force it all through my ssh tunnel, it's all going to 1 host so it no longer looks like p2p traffic, just some unidentifiable high speed encrypted stream and therefore it's not subject to throttling.

30 fps is at best the bare minimum in terms of playability in a fast moving game such as an FPS. Suffice to say I find it extremely painful to play at 30 fps and I have trouble making precise shots I would normally make with ease at a higher framerate. For those who haven't used Fraps before the default setting is to display the current framerate in the top corner of the screen so you always know what it is.
