    I am deeply saddened by the decline of quality of recent American automobiles. Back in my days they built cars that lasted a lot more a quarter-mile.

    There's not even a service center within 55 million kilometers for crying out loud!

    Every engineer and technician that moves into that town will need housing, food, retail, education, financial services, utilities, health services, and thousands of other necessities. That mean more business for the local businesses and thus more employment.

    Doesn't this technology invalidate all existing fingerprint scanners? An attacker can easily mine the fingerprints of every employee of a company by leaving a few innocent looking rocks in their parking lot.

    Invention like this are the perfect tools to combat the growing obesity problem: "Stop eating fatty foods or your doctor will implant this germ colony into your heart that sucks sugar out of your bloodstream every passing second."

    This needs to stop. I really don't care personally, because I don't fly - but all the other people being displaced from the planes are filling up the trains, and I miss the extra elbow room.

    The solution is simple, have TSA inspect train passengers too. That'll stop the crowding issue for sure.

    I don't know, I'm not a security expert but I don't think US supplies TSA agents across the globe.

    When did the word "alarmist" start carrying a negative connotation? I'm no etymologist but I'm pretty sure "alarmist" meant "the guy that rings the alarm" at first.

    Imagine that you were hired as the Chief Alarmist in a nuclear plant back in the 60's. Back then everyone would thank you for manning the alarm and keep them safe. But 50 years later, everyone thinks you're total nut-case and it's become the worst job in the world.
