YES! Kudos to the DOJ for having a spine and finally standing up one of the mergers of two huge companies! I can't believe that they can still do this after Reagan practically dismantled the anti-trust department back in the 80's.
I'm still waiting on something to be done about AOL/Time-Warner though...
Yeah, I wonder what kind of RC5-64 rate you could crank out with a couple of those monseters in your machine? You'd probably put a sizable dent in the time needed to finish the project.
Looks like you beat me to the obligatory distributed.net comment.
Actually, I saw in PC Upgrade Magazine that Micron Technology has a prototype x86 board that will be used with DDR SDRAM and features, among other things, 2 64-bit PCI slots. As I understand it, this will be a chipset that Micron will make (not motherboards) and the main theme is support for DDR SDRAM.
Look, just because one feels that one has a right to keep and bear arms does not believe that all of ones problems are solved by putting a few shots in the offending person. I believe that one should be able to carry a gun if they're trained and responsible in its use. Perhaps you should read John Lott Jr.'s book "More Guns Less Crime", and read something more than the Democratic Party Line.
Excuse me, but I find the thought of the little gun nut/hotheaded fanatic putting a couple of slugs in anyone who disagrees with him patently funny.
Umm... hey, has anyone else actually tried the URL "www.dragontails.com"? It took me to some Geocities page that seems to be about the children's show.
You know what would be even better than AOL losing is multi-million dollar lawsuit? A Department of Justice that has the balls or resources to prevent their acquisition of Time-Warner. I can't believe they're screwing over M$ while totally ignoring things that could be potentially an even bigger problem.
Which do you think is scarier: a crashy, closed source OS, or a company that dumbs down the Internet and has the ability to influence the thought and buying power of millions of people? (hint: they are NOT one and the same, smartasses.)
Installing repeaters would only slow the network down dramatically, as it would mean that the fiber optic signal would have to travel through electronics at some time, and thus, it would be slowed enough to make using fiber optics at all pointless.
Agilent Technologies is working on a solutio n for switching these signals without them passing through an electronic switch, but I think repeaters are fundamentally electronic, if I'm not mistaken.
they might be coming out with 40 Mbps dedicated cable connections (by dedicated I mean that the bandwidth isn't shared with everyone else on your loop.)
Yeah, it wouldn't be horribly expensive or anything for the cable company to rewire its entire system so that there is a dedicated line running from the cable company to each and every house it serves, now would it? And, surely, if it was, they wouldn't happen to pass that expense on to the customer, because they are decent people who don't care if they lose money, as long as the customer is happy, right?
it doesn't make *any* operating system *l33t* by not being compatible.
Yes, that's true, and its too bad that sarcasm doesn't carry well in print, otherwise my post would have been better understood. I apologize for coming off as a l337 haX0r, I just feel strongly about the crappiness of quality that exists in every ASF movie I have (mostly downloaded from Hotline).
ASF???? Are you kidding me? If the dozens of movies that I've seen in ASF are any indication, ASF is the lowest quality, most worthless format in current existence! IT SUCKS! Don't pollute the good Linux name with compatibility with this format!!!
It's much cooler to remain incompatible with inferior technologies.
Unprecedented? ROFL! Have you actually heard a pair of these speakers? Just because H&K slaps their name on a pair of computer speakers doesn't make them anything more than the pieces of crap they are. I am a firm believer in component systems as opposed to specifically designed computer speakers.
"... OpenBSD 2.7 improves support for high end system boards, SCSI controllers, ethernet interfaces, and adds gigabit ethernet drivers and IPv6 networking.
Wow, it supports all the components that you will likely find in high-end servers, except for the most important ones! When are they finally going to support multiple processors?
I dunno... if what you said is true, and I have just been convicted of spreading a (computer) virus, I would be spending some serious time thinking about what to tell all the murderers, rapists, etc. when they ask,"so, what are you in for?"
Either that, or come to the conclusion that bathing is over-rated anyway...: P
The point of punishing a crime is to make the criminal pay for the damage that they have done to the community. For example, in a predominantly black neighborhood, which do you think would be more damaging to the community?:
Case #1- A black man is shot to death in a parking lot.
Case #2- A black man is shot to death in a parking lot, and then the pool of blood produced by his wounding is used to write "All niggers burn in hell!"
You must also take into account the fact that random crime is much more scary than targeted crime, in that anyone of a certain ethnic group could be a victim.
If you think it over, then you will most probably come to a definite conclusion about the reasons for laws against hate crimes.

Please stop your trolling, sir.

I'm just curious as to how they do this, does anyone know?
I don't use IRC much, I have better things to do.
Finally, yes, I am in high school.
Hurray for you, you must be psychic.

Not that there is anything wrong with that, be-fan, it's just a little odd.

Password: admin
Oh yeah? Well, the password for @Home's support mode on their netdiag tool is:
login: athome password: athome
Just create a shortcut to the tool with the entry "netdiag.exe mode=support" at the end of the directory address.
Have Fun!
