Too much work. I disabled gdm, then at login I "sudo -s" and "startx". Works great, makes the system as easy to administer as Win98, and it's not Windows so it's still secure!

The first question is all I'm answering. I assume, by the fact it is separated from the rest, that this is the only question the census bureau legally requires.
The pop-up blocker that Opera had back in their ad-supported days nullified that "bad aroma", IMO. I only vaguely remember those never-ending pop-up pranks that would plague (and ultimately crash) IE.
Therein lies the problem, and is why they never will go away.
Instead of hoping/praying they go away, I do everything I can to make them go away. IOW, I avoid their products every chance I get, and recommend others use non-MS products whenever I can.
Yes, it does make sense. Apparently the demand for Windows on-the-cheap is high in China, so in order to provide what the customer wants, at the price point they want, and without pirating XP, they came up with this. Everything is legit and everyone is happy (well, everyone except MS).
That is Opera's default shortcut for Slashdot. Just sayin'.

As much as I hate DoS attacks, I hate DRM even more, and would love to see this happen.
