I have a Seagate Hybrid drive (7200 rpm) in my Macbook. . It made a huge difference over the old 5400 standard HDD. Really great. And cheap.
I seriously doubt its "as good" as an SSD though.
I agree, except I would've used the word 'features' instead of 'quality'. . . . to me quality represents the grade of components used, the robustness of construction, etc. Hopefully they won't be sacrificing that (which really is part of the Apple brand) and just trimming down on features.

Unfortunately the US has charged them with espionage, cut off their funding. And they have been forced to shutdown.
