    I suppose 'measured at the chip level' makes this less likely than running a Linpack app on a device, but couldn't the results still be fudged in some way?

    I'm not up on Linpack's innards, but Linpack results given by ROM dev's were always held in great skepticism because a dev could cheat the results by boosting performance in specific areas to make the results look better than they should have been. Is this what they did here?

    I'd more confident if the US had a higher standing in education, or a lower poverty rate, or lower infant mortality. But hey, one mans asshole is another....something like that.

    Money DOES win elections when campaigns can repeatedly lie about pretty much anything aon the air and have it become truth in the eyes of the people when it gets repeated enough - doubly so when one network or other treats it like truth from the beginning.

    What i don't understand is why in Avengers Loki used a device to actually break skin/eyeball to relay an eye scan remotely. it seems needlessly cruel. The little device could have easily taken a scan and sent the information instead of cutting into the guy's face. Was the guy going to have to give up an eye if he himself ever needed to get at the iridium?
