    For thos efolks, a car that parks for them may be a good thing. Degradation of skills is also a side-issue there. The only downside I see with this tech is malfunctions or idiots who parks too close and blocks people out of their cars.

    Presumably every driver has the skills to park because they passed a driving test. Maintaining those skills is a different matter, but that's an issue for all drivers, not just ones who choose to let their car park for them. I'd love the feature, personally.

    Probably because everyone doesn't want one, or qualify to operate or run one. Many would be happy being a musician, or making wine, or playing games, or whatever.

    Lower profits and CEO pay, unless you feel that there's no limit to how low workers should be paid. Rising prices isn't the only answer.

    The article quoted one rap celebrity saying that he wouldn't even tell the police about a known murderer living next door to him. ...and I wouldn't say anything either. If you give the police even the slightest hint that you know something, the threats about obstruction, lying, aiding/abetting or complicity start coming from the police. Better to let them do their jobs, or tip them off anonymously.

    It's not warming, that much is clear. Ice doesn't always melt due to warming. Penguin urine could be adding salt to the ice and causing it to melt. Scientists are so BS.

    The problem with oil is that it's taking PAST (prehistoric) carbon and adding it to the atmosphere. This idea is using CURRENT carbon (carbon that isn't stored in the ground). Read up on the difference, it's facinating.

    Why would you suspect that? Whether they actually do the work or not, they still would want to use the IPads for some of their own uses. I applaud them for getting around the blocks. Teachers need to use that ingenuity.

    Funny, but time and time again, the substance of your post is proven wrong. It wasn't the people needing help who were the killers, it was the police "protecting" white areas of the area who gunned down innocent people looking for shelter. Not just katrina either, but in Sandy too. I'm convinced that those who prepare for such events will kill indescriminantly and feel good about doing so.

    If you're typing, you wouldn't need to gesture. Same way you don't need to use the mouse while typing, unless there's that rare time you type with one hand while mousing. And even then, either hand should be able to gesture. It sounds pretty usable, actually.

    I agree. Leave your mouse hand where it is, and quickly flick a window out of the way or maximize it. Makes sense, and could be seamless if done right.

    Actually, if these gestures are right above the keyboard and simplify annoying things like maximizing windows, it could work. Far better than touchscreens. They'd have to be non-mouse hand only so that you could be right there after the gesture.
