I was a computer science and engineering major at the University of Connecicut around the time that they decieded to create two separate degree programs as well (and have CS, CE, and CSE degrees all in the same department). The way that the difference between the two degrees was described to us was that CS deals more in theory, and CE more in design principles. This is primarily why CE tends to deal more with hardware, and CS with software. At least thats the way it was explained to us.
Kappa Kappa Psi is a co-ed music service fraternaty. Tau Beta Sigma is it's sister organization. The reason I got so upset about the documents that were posted is that this group alowed this person in and they then decided, for whatever petty personal reason, to post things on the web that are meant to be private to the organization on the web to make fun of them. Not only that, but these ceremonies have most likely changed greatly since 1971, as much has changed in these two organizations in the last 29 years, and what has been posted is most likely a gross miss representation of TBS.
to my knowledge, most phone companies won't even switch your LD servcie just from a phone call. When I bought a SprintPCS cell phone, they accidentally signed me up to switch to them for LD, and sent me a confirmation letter first to avoid things like this.
The bible wasn't written by God, it is the word of God as revealed to humans and written down by humans. And if you can't admit that humans are prone to errors then you need to have your head examined.
Ingnorant fools like you who automatically assume that science and religion can't work together really iritate me. Who's to say that evolution wasn't god's (or one of his many other names, as i believe most religions are essentially the same with different names for things) way of creating humanity and everything else on this planet. The bible is a story written by humans, and therefore subject to error. The seven days of creation doesn't need to be taken literaly. The seven days in the bible could reference to thousands or millions of years, since God is described as omniprescient, and therefore exists outside of time. Now I admit, that I'm not the most religious person in the world, but I get very tired of the whole Religion vs. Science argument and wish that you people would just let it go, both sides, they don't have to be mutually exclusive. And I also see no problem with teaching evolution in school, as it is the scientific side of the creationist theory without the religion. And as for you're rant about "training kids to have sex" in school, that's a bunch of b.s. But I won't get into that now.
But the problem of not being able to open MS formatted files with non-MS software would be a moot point if there were simmilar standards laws enacted within the U.S. MS would then be forced to publish their file formats and other "MS standards" so that the rest of the software world would have an easier time writting software that can work with those formats. This would also, as a side note, kill MS's strategy of "adopt" standard X, slightly modify said standard, release all MS software with the modified standard and effectivly kill the real standard, repeat as nessecary.

and its more than two and a half times faster than my poor cyrix 5x86-100 laptop that I do all my programming on (it gets somewhere around 33).

just my 2 cents.
