  1. Re:Don't forget amorphous silicon RAM. on What Will Be The Next Generation Of RAM? · · Score: 1

Sounds like amorphous silicon RAM would cause overheating. The computer already puts out enough heat, we don't need to put out more and waste energy. MRAM is very power conservative since the bits must not constantly be refreshed. We needed to starting workingn toward 100% (ok 99.999999%) reliable machines. Amorphous silicon ram would be good if you could capture the heat and use it to your advantage. MRAM sounds like a good choice for systems now. All that would really need to be done is shield it from magnetic forces.

It seems as if Slashdot has done it again! M16 is not officially out yet and even when it is this is still alpha (maybe beta if you push it) quality code. There are still a lot of issues that need to be worked out so don't complain when things might crash or be slow!

  3. AI Ideas on What AI Elements Could Improve the Web? · · Score: 1

Since the web is a world wide community it would be useful to have a good translation system. This my not seem like an application of ai but it is a really complex system that I believe could benefit from ai. Another good project is a search engine that would actually find exactly what you are looking for first time, no problem. That would be nice ... I would even pay a monthly fee for that service!
