i guess upper-management has their head's so far up their asses that they can't see how stupid their plan to continue on as a ressurected and should have been dead a long time ago napster. fucking morons.
I like AOL's inability to read email about how they are blocking legitimate emails from people. One of the things AOL is doing is blocking anyone with a Business Class DSL line from SBC and runs their own mail server and calling them residential or telling them that they need to use AOL's servers. I changed some of the email addresses so you could see an actual dialogue between me and AOL's abuse group. I have more, but those would just make you laugh. You should have heard the phone calls.

He actually took the time to fix our spelling and grammar and Rob says "Whatever", not even a bit of thanks. Why not work on that extra-special spell check feature so many have been begging for?
It takes a lowly 3 seconds before the "CD light show". Nuke em on high for 3 seconds and look at the beautiful coaster you have made. Ignore the smell though.
One thing that did turn me off is the inclusion of a CD-ROM. The CD has a copy of Sybase for the user to work with. I don't need to explain that the internet is a superior place to put such things.
Not Everyone has a broadband connection. So the inclusion of programs helps those users.
now i don't have click on those damn images to go to the next one. a truly hands free experience, well my hands will be somewhere else that's more more shall we say exciting.

Why don't you find a worthwhile cause to channel your energies?
Like finding a solution to starvation and disease
I know that you're concerned about your First Ammendment rights
But don't you burn our flag to make your point, that's just not right
If you think you're better off in a different country
Why don't you pack your bags right now
Here's your ticket
It's on me
I've been around this whole wide world and found no better place
And no one's gonna start a fire in my homeland's face
We have a tendency to take our freedom for granted
We have some problems, yes I know
Look at the seed you've planted
I know that you're aching to be heard
What gives you the famous final word?
To think that your opinion is preferred
What gives you the famous final word?
What other country do you know that pays you without work?
When you need some money, see your welfare officer
There's a lot of other things that you could take a stand about
So you and your activists can take the next train out
I know that you're aching to be heard
What gives you the famous final word?
To think that your opinion is preferred
What gives you the famous final word?
Freedom of speech out of hand
Demonstations in the land
If you complain a little more
What rights you have left
Go flying out the door
Why don't you find a worthwhile cause to channel your energies?
Like finding a solution to starvation and disease
With all the problems in this world that are facing us today
We need a concentrated push or in the long run we'll all pay
Didn't windows 2k get published with something like 64k bugs? And mozzilla which is just a web browser already has 100k? Doesn't that just tell ya something?
wonder what happens if the windows are down. and then, what if i am picked up for drunk driving, because I have a drunk compatriot with me? guess they never heard of picking up a drunk roomate, or friend before.

first off you have to have played the game in order to understand the movie. This movie is not a theatrical masterpiece, because the subject matter is somewhat tongue-in-cheek.
then you have to deal with a first time director. the director secured the movie rights when he was 19 (ten years ago) and he was coerced into directing the movie because of how diligent he was in getting the movie done in the first place.
third, you have a bunchy of whiners that go into the movie expecting perfection or the best cgi ever, but forget that the entire movie was only done on a budget of $35 million.
forthly, people also lambasted star wars episode one for its campiness, but forget that its more a childrens movie than a serious movie for adults. just because the reviewer has no grasp of the subject matter doesn't always mean that he knows what is best for the rest of the populace.
remember you can't be serious when you see this movie. take it for what it is, a table top game with all of its over the top antics turned into a movie.
i would write out my entire diatribe, but this will remain modded down to -1, like all my nice comments....bah...slashdot moderators suck!
That's just security bulletins. Near the bottom of those messages Microsoft even puts a disclaimer about redistributing them. This is not going to prevent BugTraq from annouing bugs or security "features" on their mailing lists. Microsoft probably wants more people to subscribe to their security bulletins and get the information directly from them and not a third party.

stupid question but what technologies has linux beaten M$ with? KDE, Gnome...oh yea that all important ATA 100 standard...can it even be called a standard yet??? yea yea yea, but with out M$ creating their little monopoly and making PCs essentially easy to use and idiot boxes, then none of you would have a friggin computer. I actually have no preference in OS, I have used almost all of them, still a few thousand more linux distros to go through, but hey i got time. moderate my ass down again to troll, but that's what's to be expected from a bunch of elitists that don't even give credit where credit is due. i hate m$, i hate redhat, i hate suse, i hate em all...why because they all have their own intricate problems, either it be bsod, core dumps or whatever...
the media and record companies will forget about mp3's within a few months, either that or they will find a way to distribute them on their own. the media is just bored because there are no good wars to report about for now.
People shouldn't be blowing this out of proportion like it actually is a life changing event. Its a marketing ploy by the companies. Remember perks are just there to attract prospective employees and retain some.
Who wouldn't want a new computer or some other toy from a company just for working there? I heard a short time ago that Best Buy also gave all of their employees $400 just for working there (might have just been the store near my house). That doesn't mean I am going to go to work there, but I thought it was a nice incentive to work at a company.
Just because you get a lot of cool incentives from a company doesn't mean you are happy in your job. Now those of you that get tons of incentives are you happy at your job or do you just like all the cool toys you get?
I do have to give the companies credit for getting themselves some positive press. Hell I might even apply at one of those companies one day for some cool perks.
