They recently had a ruling in their courts that Children's private communications were protected (from parents).
The case was a death and a parent wanting access to the Facebook account. The court ruled no, because the instant messages were a private communication.
I don't know how German laws work, but that would seem to make this a law that wouldn't stick (applying US common law principals, and our communications being covered by a higher document than law). I don't know where privacy is codified into German law.
I don't think it's harmless, and I even say in my post I doubt even nicotine free juice is harmless, but I also think it's better, and likely far better than tobacco
I pay with a few extra minutes of wait time (5-10 instead of 3-8), and a 20% tip.
At weird hours, the wait for a lyft goes up dramatically, and I still use Uber, but I can't be the only person that has reduced their usage of Uber, and I suspect at the very least, that's apparent in Lyft's usage (smaller number to start with, so easier to spot the signal through the noise).
1) Nicotine is problematic, it interferes with the body's ability to fight cancer, but it doesn't look like it causes it 2) There is no "burnt" or whatever we want to call it, "burnt" appears to be a carcinogen in general (for example, diets heavy in blackened and charred food seem to lead to GI cancers) 3) Vaping seems to be better for the cardiovascular system than smoking.
But, I do suspect it is not harmless, and may even be quite bad. For one thing, inhaling solvents, even food safe ones, is likely not the healthiest thing, also, It wouldn't shock me to learn that breathing 400 degree air carries with it it's own health effects.
That's super low for a train like system, but seems to be about aligned with or slightly better than airports (though I have no idea max capacity between two points, I'm just basing it on five or so flights a day for most domestic cities I go to).
I question the value of a hyperloop vs a traditional train for the short routes suggested too.
Even more concerning is the suggestion of combined never tested but long thought of techs to make it work (the tunnels and the hyperloop itself being decades (fast tube zero friction travel) to over a century (the tunnel).
That doesn't mean it won't work, but it does seem foolhardy to try and do both at once.
It's unsustainable long run though, or there will be much less content.
It's been a while, but Grey's anatomy came out to $0.75/viewer/episode when I did the math.
$12.99 for all Hulu offers is a big drop.
Cutting seasons in half will help, and probably improve quality. But the industry is going to shrink, and that's gonna cause a lot of crying (from those involved).
I saw it more of a "everybody with internet is going to buy this anyway, so let's make it not as good".
I still don't mind it, the discounts on smaller games are worth it, and some free games.
But I miss getting a high end game I really wanted every few months.
Before the PS4, PS+ had some great games.
I got both XCOM and Bioshock infinite when they were still in the $40 price point.
After the PS4 came out, and they made it more mandatory, they stopped giving away good high budget games.
I'm pretty surprised.

Fair point.
I still suspect glycerin is closer to mineral spirits than water is.
I'm sure it sheds some heat, but it's not like a 400 degree oven is particularly harmful to my hand.
My uber usage dropped 80% in the last year.

I'm pretty sure you're only half right.

It still seems to be much healthier than smoking.
CFL was shit when it was expensive a d local too.
Energy star certified some garbage, so you never knew the quality, but most was garbage.
But, with LED, energy star also certifies the quality.
So, science solved the last serious problem, and?
do you upgrade it to windows 10 though?
Racists use letters too. Letters must be racist.
As the ADL says "The majority of uses of Pepe the Frog have been, and continue to be, non-bigoted. "
I live in a state, the state has an established way to settle disputed when neither side agree.
It makes as much sense to be able to sign that away as it does to sign away government involvement in the event I murder someone.
True, but it seems of the 5% of senators that care about this issue, 100% are democrats.
This leads me to believe that democrats are less on the hook here, and both parties are not actually the same.
I don't see how a phone could possibly disrupt the market for $700.
That's not trying to break into the whole phone market, it's trying to break into the high-end (and therefore profitable) part of the market.
The problem with that though is that reputation means more, making it a lot harder to break into.
Is that why they make sure I don't have any in my checking led luggage?
Because the DHS wants to snoop data.
I hate to be conspiracy about it, but it seems to me the most logical explanation.
To airport 45 mins
Wait for flight 2 hours
Get luggage half hour
Get rental car half hour
Get to destination 45 mins
The car has a 4.5 hour headstart.
I generally put the cut off at 8 hour drive, but that's more six hours door to door with the flight, driving just being more pleasant.
I generally am closer to 1-1.5 hours before my flight too.
I'm just excited that lithium ion batteries in the cargo hold are safe now. Otherwise I'd be worried.
Considering the last major claim of that was indeed a racist lie, they aren't absolutely off base.

This is not to say that the Balken claim is either racist or a lie.
If he swore a loyalty oath rather than an oath to do his job, I'd say that's a black mark.
But the only evidence I have of that is what Comey said.
I personally think anyone Trump appoints is very suspect after that, but until he does anything, it's mere suspicion.
We have a more than a few years old Mac at work.
It already can't update the OS, but it has 64 bit.

Exactly this.
Just like the Music Industry, they're hated by all sides. The users and the creators hate them.
I'm sure, like the Music Industry, they'll find a new way to succeed, but they're gonna cry a lot as it happens.
Maybe not as much, as recording was twice as old as cable when their whining happened.
