10x the temperature seems unlikely, 3000k? Thats using a guess of 293k for earth (20c, 68f), you can't really do times the temperature of you don't start at absolute zero.

It was shortly afterwards used as an excuse to start an unrelated war that the people in power wanted to start, it also made many of their friends a lot of money.
So logic goes like this:
I want to take over Iraq to make my people lots of money, let's blow something up and blame middle easterners. Then lots of people make money, and government gets A LOT more power. It has it's logic.
If I don't wash my my face daily, I get horribly disgusting, like coated with grease (hurrah eastern European heritage). I need to use a mild, but non-moisturizing soap, and then spot moisturize to have any hope of looking human through the work day.
Also, my sweat is fowl, I have an ex who used to never use soap, just water and moisturize basically everywhere, but the Irish sweat isn't so gross.
I guess that makes sense, common era, as in common usage of years.
I still personally feel (and know I am in the minority) that changing the year of the lord to common era is more offensive than letting the old term stand as a ceremonial deism.

The officer giving out tickets to cover them self (which I assume is about $100k a year or so with benefits pay etc) and some extra overhead. In fact, if I read TFS correctly, police basically pay for themself with tickets, the rest of the funding going to over-head, and when they aren't writing tickets they do other things.

I'm not convinced the phone didn't sync 50MB in one minute if data had been off for a while.
Also, free data roaming (internationally ) at 2g speeds.
It was enough for me to use the maps and even yelp in a pinch.
Plus, all my email would sync in the background.
They also give 2.5 GB of tethering with the unlimited data plan ( which I frequently break into the 5-10 GB range in a month ).
