That used to be the case long long ago.

Nowadays an average bike with amortized seat and front fork will ensure that even a fairly cheap frame and wheels won't tax you with vibration. The only problem is that you'll have to use about 5% more energy on the same route because portion of your spent energy will go into depressing the shock absorbers in the front fork.

Now if you cycle at fairly extreme speeds where air drag becomes a serious issue, I can see going for a more expensive model, but in reality, all of you claims but one about using less energy at high speed due to lower drag have been long addressed for bikes on 1k budget.

That said there is indeed one thing that this bike will not provide for people like you. Placebo effect.

If I may make a recommendation, consider trying out logitech G13 before going for orbweaver.

It has a few significant advantages over orbweaver, like actual analogue joystick (orbweaver's "thumbstick" is just a directional pad). It's also shaped differently, and I found it to be a much better fit for my hand. It's also significantly cheaper.

In most of Europe, law specifically requires contracts in common situations like booking a stay with a hotel that have "unusual terms" for the terms to be specifically and carefully explained. The burden of proof that explanation was delivered and appropriate lies with the one inserting these clauses (in this case hotel) and even if this was found to be true, court would still likely strike it down as illegal because of power balance in this case (customer arriving with expectation of a place to stay, hotel in a position of power because it holds the room guest has expected behind unreasonable contractual terms).

Reminder: Most of Europe is far more consumer-centric than wild west capitalism of US.

Not quite. MMOs like WoW also require server verification for every action. Even movement, which can be done for a short while without server input is usually synced with the server, hence the term "rubber banding" referring to server pulling you back to the known position after the connection is disrupted and re-established.

This is not going to be quite as harsh, more in line with diablo 3 apparently. I.e. you get to do some stuff without needing to call the server, but every time you trade, create a mission or interact with certain things, server needs to give you permission and feed you material to perform those actions.

    Basically, it's always online DRM.

Interesting. I don't recall seeing this on liveleaks, and that's where most of the even marginally verified stuff goes to.

Unfortunately one of the main sources for this, ukraineatwar blog was the site that was constantly implicated in both location and time shifting to paint rebels in bad light (i.e. claiming that photographs taken elsewhere or at a different time or both were taken in Donbass). They got especially famous for showing Yugoslavia war mass graves as "evidence of rebels conducting mass murder of Ukrainians" and I recall stopping following them when they showed old footage of Russian column on the way to Roki tunnel back in 2008 as "Russian army shifting armour in Eastern Ukraine" which was actually shown around Western media, and then rapidly pulled when the obvious fact that this was a footage from six years ago was pointed out.

Also, rocket engines do not leave contrails near ground. Contrails are condensed vapour created by high pressure from either engines or pressure from aircraft passing in upper atmosphere. BUK engines in essentially all videos I've seen of their post launch create and leave behind a slowly dissipating trail of persistent dark grey smoke. Still, this could be the final stage of dissipation with most particulates out of it, making it white-ish as it is in the picture. Another weird issue is verticality. BUK rockets are launched at angle which improves acceleration properties of the missile on launch. The smoke dissipating here is going directly up. This doesn't fit, unless the launch was made directly at or away from the observer, but that still doesn't match up - you'd see smoke increasing or decreasing in size due to parallax. We don't see it here.

Here is the BUK missile launch and what it looks like:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

The other problem is time-shifting. There have been several launches of the complex in the region at that time, among those ones that shot down the Ukrainian spy plane.

Still, interesting. I'll try to look into it further to see why the image wasn't released to our media in spite of its "explosive" nature. Thanks!

And then there are people who spent the minimal cost to buy the game like myself.

The biggest difference between Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous is the way devs treat backers. On Star Citizen, they treat you like actual people, not "money bags to beg for money" that Elite: Dangerous project treats its backers as. If SC devs have a questionable decision, they don't drop it on people like this. Instead they ask people for comments and opinions, and then often publicly debate it. To this day, they're struggling with controls because they need to somehow make controls work for joystick and mouse+keyboard people equally well for example.

As a result, even people who spend a lot are generally happy with the project even if some parts of design don't match their expectations. Do you know why? Because they feel their voices have generally been heard, and their points were debated on their merits, instead of "dictat from above" that this particular decision appears to be. Because this cancellation of a feature clearly came completely unexpectedly and blindsided a lot of people.

Usually you have all three behind the cockpit in various configurations above, on the sides or below the pilots, typically some distance behind the cockpit itself. That is the reason why one of the working hypotheses on how flight 370 went completely dark, but was able to fly for a long time involves an actual cabin fire that destroyed the pilot cabin interior, including the pilot controls, but FBW system was able to right the plane and steer it directly ahead until it ran out of fuel.
