just read what i wrote. Powerful can mean the possibilties to calculate anything. Almost every language IS turing complete. Which is completely useless, because it for example does not say anything about IO. So powerful means, what can you really do, and can you do it with a reasonable efford. Otherwise you can advertise for INTERCAL. Have a lot of fun...
nice long text, which totally misses the point. Nobody doubts, that you CAN code everything in that way. You may know, that the only logic element you need is NAND.
But you really miss the point. Graphical programming will never be that powerful, in a sense, that nobody will use it for stuff more complicated than controlling a lego roboter with an easy program.
A registrar allows you to fill in an telephonebook entry. Yellowpages are more like advertisments, so i think of web catalogs (you know the good ol' times) or maybe search engines. Or like in my example: Warez forums, where people exchange links, knowing that they link to copyrighted stuff.
They are the german law-trolls. They are well known for sending cease-and-desist ("Abmahnungen", not sure if its really the same) letters. Many people will just pay, but the best defenses are not to react, or to send a modified letter, telling them you will stop but now pay. They will insist a few times and then give up. I guess because they normally sue users on dsl-lines, the domain registrar wasn't prepared to react to this.
You need a precise language to express what you want. You can define almost everything you like, but you must express it in some basic terms, everyone agreed on first. If you build something graphical, you will have only a toy. you can define your building blocks (think of yahoo pipes or something like this), but they do not have the power of raw code. And raw code will be more concise for many tasks, and i do not think of the simple ones, but the complicated algorithms, which can be written in very concise code, if you think enough about them. With some building blocks, they will look even more complicated.
So? Your users told you about the UX part. The old site is fine. The new one sucks. Fix bugs of the old one. Do not change the "UX", we like it that way.
Are you really sure, you care about UX for users, and not about stuff like "our designers need something to do", "we can increase ad revenue" or "this one has better SEO effects"?
jQuery is a library to deal with different browser implementations of "standards", or browsers not implementing some standard. When you have a well defined JS api like the browser component of the TVs (i guess they do not change the engine with updates) you do not need jQuery at all.
nope. The ad companies WANT to serve from their own domain, so they can track you. If the ads are served from the site you're visiting, the cookies only valid for this site.
Okay, ' is really evil, they could have used ’ (UTF-8 Apostrophe, some fonts can even display it nicer than the tick mark). But on the other hand, ' is even ASCII... And then try to add some whitespace to filenames in/etc;).
It was part of their goal. To fix all the issues, which chars like ö (and the ' in the name) are causing. Most languages are more complex than ascii. The german language with its 4 Umlauts is easy, think of chinese... The important base programs and libraries need to be utf-8 safe.
In the hope you're more likely to click (especially when you do not know the sender), they write names, which are almost your's in the To-Header. You're finanicial information may be pennystock spam.
The recent stock keyboard is good, but swiftkey is still better. Better swiping, easier to add new words (just touch it), using multiple dictionaries at once... maybe some features i do not notice when using, but would notice when using another keyboard...

Its easier to kill someone, if you know he's got diabetes.
a domain is like a telephone book, a forum for explicit warez links is like yellowpages
maybe, but it depends. If you know somebody is dealing with drugs, is this a reason to remove his entry in the phone book?

Superior Software combined with superior hardware.
No Beta. Just keep the classic version. Who needs this web2.0y thing anyway?!
