"Britain is a cold, dark country" Britain is a country with a huge number of poorly insulated homes. Just about every place I've lived in NorthAm is much colder for much of the year than any place in the UK
"More than 30 years" . More than 60 years, as it was mentioned towards the end of Bell Telephone's Science Hour "The Unchained Goddess" episode on weather in 1958 https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
The problem is all the models have predicted more warming than has happened. The basic problem is that there's no evidence that the Earth being warmer by a few degrees (has been much warmer than that many times before) will be catastrophic.
That's largely because there are cooling factors such as sulfate aerosols that are still very difficult to model. But we know, and are reminded with every large volcanic eruption just how strong - but temporary - that effect can be. The problem is that our heavy of usage of coal in plants mostly without scrubbers & filters likely kept the warming from increasing as much as it could have. But then the West started cleaning up or shutting down those plants. And perhaps only coincidentally, global warming started to accelerate.
But then China really picked up the slack, burning more & more coal each year beginning around 1980 and really picking up the pace around 2000. https://gailtheactuary.files.w...
But now China appears to have seen the light - to some degree. Not only is their coal consumption dropping, for the 3rd straight year but during that time they've also been cleaning up their coal plants and it seems that no plants will be grandfathered. If it can't be cleaned up, it will be shut down. We'll see how this plays out.
But what does this mean for global warming? My guess is that as coal becomes less used but CO2 keeps rising, global warming will start speeding up again. There's still a lot of uncertainty as to what & where will get hotter but overall, the total heat in the system, especially the oceans will ratchet up unabated
I will eat a leather shoe if you can convince me that climate models have even half the predictive power necessary to justify blowing several hundred billion dollars on this nonsense.
And cause you to have both indigestion & less money to spend on bombing 3rd world nations to make both America & Europe LESS safe? Perish the thought
"This financial dependency theme recurred almost in every children support case decided by the courts of America during the nineteenth century, primarily because newly divorced American mothers in nineteenth-century were almost always forced to live in poverty.
Even families that were well off financially before the divorce found that after the divorce, the father almost always profited and the mother almost always became impoverished. This occurred because the men were suddenly free from the expenses of the family, whereas the women were forced to take on the financial burden of raising the children.
In addition, if the mother did attempt to find a job for herself, she generally earned less than what a man would make in the same field. "
He's not just "assfucking their country", he's assfucking THEM while moaning constantly about how great they are together & how wonderful life will be if he can keep doing this as much as he wants. And their response is "well, I'd never let Obama do this to me but okay"
The legal system for child support came about because plenty of "real fathers" were only too willing to abandon their families when the going got rough or a more winsome piece of ass drifted on by. There aren't many mothers who haven't feared being own their own raising the kids, regardless of who the father was. Yup, there are plenty of sluts out there with low morals but they're outnumbered by the dicks, not the cucks.
There are hundreds of positions that can & have to be filled without needing Congressional approval. The Trump team wasn't ready and some of the Obama holdovers have started resigning or are being fired as they refuse to be lickspittles for President Pumpkinhead
Pragmatic. Clinton was a competent but largely uninspired choice, except to younger females. Bernie would have been my preference but let's not forget he's not a Democrat but an Independent so it was going to be difficult to get the party machine behind him
Now those people who are allergic to Wifi will have no where to hide.
Tinfoil hats will be the fashion of the future
Well at least he still has hair to generate these ideas with. ...

Elon has (very convincing) hairplugs. Here's a photo of him & Peter Thiel in their PayPal days

That still works?
I discovered that during a 2 yr contract job with IBM Global Services more than 10 years ago
"Britain is a cold, dark country"
Britain is a country with a huge number of poorly insulated homes.

"Disclaimer- I'm "in the industry", my customers are roughly 60% gas and 40% coal"
Why is natgas priced locally but oil is priced on the world market?
I had pheasant once - it was revolting
"but please can not use "kW" but use the correct "kW"" :-D
Heh, and you made the same mistake in trying to correct him
Wasn't it still called Natural Philosophy then - and taught in Latin?
That's COBOL
but it may have consequences I haven't considered

Kindly point out where I was defending it. I stated how it came about, to the best of my knowledge.
On the assumption that you're American, you're wrong

Sometimes a woman will trick a man into raising another man's child. It is more common than you think.
There are plenty of cucks out there

I don't doubt Trump will "drain the swamp" but the only one he cares about is in Florida
If you think the right wing doesn't name-call the people who disagree with them, you're both inbred & retarded.
Republicans are like priests - can be quite uplifting to hear them speak but don't put them in charge of your kids
Well, either way you want to term it....he's STILL better than Hillary.
No he's not. Hillary would have had the White House transition done smoothly; Trump has Jared.
and by that I mean the ones that voted for him
"to me counts as extremely good evidence he's not a fool"
It's definitely extremely good evidence that 10s of millions of American voters are utterly stupid
