The Model S and presumably Model X have swappable batteries and Renualt built & demonstrated 100s of battery-swap capable Fluence ZE for Better Place years ago.
I wish they'd put that HEPA filter as a separate option; I don't need it but I'd like some of the other stuff in that package and I would hope they'd bundle the filter in places with really poor air quality such as Beijing. Ah well, still too rich for me to buy new so it's either 2ndhand or wait for Model 3.
I'm wondering how large these systems will be? The ones on Google's cars work well but are quite unsightly. I don't think the average carbuyer is going to like a roof mounted spinning sensor the size of a coconut, unless he's a cop.
While he did not mention Blue Origin by name, Elon made a point of mentioning how difficult it is to cope with high speed horizontal velocity. Blue Origin just isn't playing in the same league yet.
"the piece of shit model" - so more affordable means piece of shit? And you want to buy it 2ndhand? Or the hand-me-down of the Leaf which is truly shite, when new, compared to any Tesla.
We've had 100 years of "growth at any cost" and some of the consequences have been horrendous. To make matters worse, the enlightened captains of industry had to be forced to clean up their messes and many times the public had to foot the bill.
Look up the history of Superfund sites. It's easy to mock the environmental disasters of China and third world countries but it was't so long ago that the Western countries were nearly as bad.
The Energiewende has put a lot of renewable energy generation in the hands of the people. I consider that a good thing. http://www.bloombergview.com/a...
And the already electrically-frugal population has been reducing consumption by 1% annually for a decade. There are problems but they are largely the result of stubborn energy companies resisting change and now having to eat the losses.
Have a look at the number of car companies that failed in America alone in the early decades of the industry. It's nearly TWO THOUSAND. The collapse of a number of greentech companies coincided with a huge economic crisis. You might as well argue that finance & banking is an abject failure because of the collapse of Arthur Andersen, Bear Stearns, and nearly 500 US banks.
Certainly not the one that supposedly built America's middle class, the automotive industry. Well, except for the ~500 listed at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/....
The people on the *winning* side are fine with calling it a war. I suspect the millions who've lost their homes, their loved ones of all ages and their livelihoods think of their country as being invaded not being at war. A lot of them probably didn't have a clue as to what the World Trade Center is or thought it was some kind of giant open bazaar. Not long ago, I was mentoring a student from India, from a farming community of a few thousand in the Punjab. Most of his relatives have no fucking clue where America really is or how big. His mom thinks he's a few days away by car and ferry and he's given up explaining to her how airplanes work and why we need them. Most of the dead Afghani civilians likely did not have a much more sophisticated worldview, until their world came crashing down. Some of the "soldiers" in the early conflict had single-shot muskets and blunderbusses, FFS.
Yes. Because it should properly be called an invasion and most of those people who were condemed to Guantanamo Bay should never have been taken out of their own neighborhoods and then you wouldn't have to worry about them being dropped off in yours.
Role-playing about disliking your daughter's boyfriend? I suppose it's possible but then that means that you're the kind of person who thinks that "private" role-playing involving racial slurs is acceptable. Not sure how that's better.
I hope to see this AI take on other expert Go players, perhaps several at a time or a team of them. This is a really exciting development, one I didn't expect to see in my lifetime and I really want to see how far it can be stretched.
But all isn't lost for human players as Fan Hui 2p helped improve the AI's playing after his 5-0 loss to it some months back and he says he now has new insight into the game and has improved his global standing from 633 to somewhere in the 300s since becoming familiar with AlphaGo's play.

At some point, about 8 mins got trimmed from the start of the video so you need to back up to about 27:15 for the beginning of the magical moment

Damn, I was way off on my hasty count - it's closer to TWO THOUSAND.
Certainly not the one that supposedly built America's middle class, the automotive industry.

But apart from those few, not at all.

Here are 200 from Afghanistan. Satisfied?

Yes, otherwise it's an invasion.
They have far less to apologize for than those who supported Fulgencio Batista.
"that we were at war with" - I think you mean "that we declared war on" which is not quite the same thing.
Hulkie Baby, is that you? Really sorry that you were exposed as a racist asshole. Congrats on the lawsuit. What does that work out to per inch?
Role-playing about disliking your daughter's boyfriend? I suppose it's possible but then that means that you're the kind of person who thinks that "private" role-playing involving racial slurs is acceptable. Not sure how that's better.
Doesn't matter whether or not you like it. You did it, you said it, you meant it, then you own it.
So his personal reputation was damaged by exposing what's he's like as a person?
I don't see the problem.
So a racist scumbag steroid-abusing piece of shit won a lot of money from a slimy outfit.
Both of them can FOAD .

Ah, yes the land of the free's Star Chamber.
Those warrants aren't supposed to be used against friendly foreign countries, are they?
