    All "tarmac" IS "asphalt", more properly "asphalt concrete" but the term is confusing since pure concrete is quite different.

    OPs clue was made of "asphalt" and melted.

    AZ uses concrete in most case, hence "no sinky de aircraft".

    Asphalt is what people use when they won't spend on concrete. The original Interstate system was also concrete-paved.

    Pulled it up on Google Maps and those runways, taxiways, and ramps sure look like CONCRETE to me, other than the standard asphalt "shoulders" which make for easier FOD control because sweepers can straddle the edge of the concrete.

    Note the color (hint, NOT BLACK) and the lines denoting expansion joints between the poured slabs.

    That's a nice way of saying "cheap", be it on runways or roads.

    There's good reason Air Force bases use concrete in the vast majority of cases for runways, ramp, and taxiways.

    Got asphalt "problems"? Dig that cheap shit up and recycle it by crushing (makes terrific residential driveways which stay packed but some foliage can penetrate, I've used it for many years) then man up and pour proper concrete instead.

    There's no nice way to put it.

    ....all they need is a cheap lift and an old pickup to bolt it on and they can drag it off in seconds.

    If you are repo driver, no one cares, so a thief using the same equipment could drag cars all day (and I'm sure many do).

    It ain't like the fat fucks on "reality" television except for the "fat". :-)

    Repo drivers just pull up, hook up (or toggle a few switches if they have in-cab controls) , and drive off.

    People don't take any action even when you are driving down the street with the towed vehicle brakes still locked and the tires smoking! (Once clear if the property you release the parking brake.)

    It had no incentive to kill to take power since it HAD power. It wasn't very good at killing to RETAIN power since it had just bled out its own armies fighting the Imperial German Army to the tune of millions of military and civilian casualties. It still inflicted and sustained heavy losses.

    Why would they? As you point out, polygamy has worked in many societies and the only objections to it are RELIGIOUS.

    There is no logical secular objection to polygamy or polyandry or "poly-cluster" sexual unions. Where existing contracts don't cover the bases, add riders to the base marriage contract and have at it!
