This isn't about them working illegally (that's a completely different issue), it's about them automatically getting their green card after having a student visa for 5 years. I guess they could check the transcripts just before the 5 years is up, but they should still be checking it.
And you apparently didn't read the first 5 words of my post. He didn't ask for help! He just asked why his nephew sent him a link, his nephew then "thurst help upon him", help which he eventually declined after disagreeing about the source of the link.
He didn't ask for help, he asked why he sent him then link. If you can't even be bothered to read the summary, don't bother trying to answer the question in the title.
If you find a way to inject data (in a useful way) into an HTTPS stream without adding your own certificate to the person's computer, there are a LOT of government agencies that would LOVE to talk to you.
If you are in the country on a student visa, shouldn't the Border Agency (or what-ever it's called in the UK) be getting their transcripts at the end of each term?

Hell, even the mobile provider blocks the weather sites so they can sell the weather info as an "extra".
I am aware of the standard. The standard says all mail to something+else@example.com must go to something@example.com, but there's nothing saying something_else@example.com can't go to something@example.com. I just thought that if they had to implement the filter anyways, they may have added the option to "customize" it a bit.
webcams on computers are at least moderately useful. Webcams on TVs are not, unless you want to be tethered to a single room while using video chat or something.
You carry your computer tower around when using skype?
You should consider setting it up so that the OS and regularly-accessed files is on 1 or 2 drives and the rest are for large files (movies/etc). This way 80% of your drives are off/idle 80% of the time. If you have all 20 drives spinning 24/7 you're going to lose more money on failed hdd than anything else!
I spent weeks looking for a sub-400W supply for my atom server and gave up. I finaly went with a cheap 400W because every sub-400W I could find was nearly twice the price!
And I have 4GB of ram in my laptop with NO swap. The only time I ever ran into trouble was during a packet sniffing excersize and someone on the hub started torrenting (wireshark dumps the logs to/tmp wich is tmpfs mounted). Note: I regularly run MULTIPLE windows virtualmachines simultaneously for network programming and hardware interfacing.
I have an n900 (very similar software-wize to the n9) and you can add what-ever repositories you want to the phone (even intranet ones). It is only the BILLING system that is disappearing. If they ever threatened to remove the free repositories, they'd be mirrored within the day.
I'm curious what "modern technology" we've missed in software keyboards. Aside from "vibrate a little when you touch something" and "swipe" (which is *useless* for command line), I haven't seen an improvement in the technology of software keyboards in years. And no, different layouts don't count.
As opposed to....? Remember, the n9 and its predecessors are probably the most open smartphones phones in history. The only alternative is to buy a phone and install something like mer on it, but the list of supported phones is quite limited.
There was a slashdot article about this a few weeks ago if you care to search for it. I believe the consensus in the comments was that KDE is the only desktop asside from OSX that easily handles high DPI screens without the need to squint.

Lack of a single element in the not-water

Cool, I will definitely look into that when I get the rest of my mail server set up (currently only works as a mirror).

Yes we have natural gas up here (and oil in some of the more northern areas), but it would still technically be a subtraction from the "heating bill".

I seem to recall 1280x800 being fairly common for a while as well.
Since when do spammers not pay for text messaging?
Does postfix allow you to use something other than a +? Like an underscore or the letter z for instance?

Or subtract all year long in Canada!
Nah, the RIAA would have him imprisoned for inability to pay their ransom before the HAM guys could even triangulate his position!
This is why I make sure my devices allow 3rd party application stores.
Then the N9 would have been just fine for you. http://www.allaboutmeego.com/features/item/13179_N9_FAQ.php#4.15

Northern or Central British Columbia, yes. The southern part is pretty heavily populated.
