Seeing as the 1TB and 2TB drives are almost the same price, you're probably better off getting the 2TB drives and using the extra capactity (on a separate drive of course) as additional backups.
The project also didn't know apple would be make a NEW connector for the iPhone5, so their original plan was "make an adapter that works with all current-gen devices". When Apple changed the connector, that new connector became a requirement to meet that goal, which they were unable to do.
There's nothing wrong with customizing your work environment, but the default environment should be at least USABLE or alternatives offered. For instance, if you don't like Gnome 3, pick a distro that uses KDE, Unity, XFCE, etc. What's really stupid is when people say "There is nothing wrong with Windows 8 if you spend hours making it not behave like Windows 8".
No shit, you can't touch type on a touch mouse either. It's called a touch screen because you interact by touching it, you'd have to be pretty defective to even think that the concept of touch typing would work on a touch screen.
Like having no visual distinguisher between clickable items and informationals/decorations.
It's not the first time Microsoft fucked that one up. Remember the "icon button" in Office 2007 which replaced the "file" menu? If I recall correctly, they had to release an update for office that added a "light gleam" animation to the "icon button" so that people would realize it was actually a fucking BUTTON and not just a decorative logo.
I HIGHLY doubt the synaptics touch driver turns a right-swipe into a "switch applications" key-code, it generates a "right swipe" event which Windows then turns INTO a "switch applications" event.
Um, not in the Adam Lanza way. We also need to start treating mental health issues seriously in this country, so that guys like him get the help they need before stuff like this happens.
Oh, I agree 100% with you there, I was talking about gun issues in general.
I like what dolphin (in KDE) uses. Clicking a file opens it, but each file also has a green "+" in the corner to let you select it. When selected, the green "+" turns into a red "-" to let you de-select it (this also lets you select multile files easily). To deselect all, just click the whitespace between icons.
- Second larges are guns used illegally by felons - ban makes no difference
Where do you think they GET the illegal guns? They aren't building them, they are STOLEN from people who acquire them legally and from stores that sell them legally. Outlaw semi-automatic non-hunting guns (like the AR series) and the thieves will stop being able to buy them because the sellers won't be able to steal them.
Think of it this way: How many gangs have tanks? If you could buy tanks at wallmart (even if you needed a license), how many gangs do you think would have tanks?
It is only in the US where we have providers who can't handle demand and have to whine to Congress so they can jack up the monthly fees. Every other country, they expand infrastructure and handle the demands put to it.
Come to canada for a month and you'll be PRAISING the U.S. telcos. Not only do we also have caps, but our ISP's are about to cut them in HALF! Not to mention that nobody outside of buisness sectors can get an upload speed higher than 5mbps and most only get 512kbps

I'm trying really hard to figure out if you got whooshed...
But somebody needs to have the knowledge, in order to know what is too dangerous for people to know!
They just need a few super-secret agents to maintain the dangerous information just like when they abolished the term gulplac*** CARRIER LOST ***
cat maybe accompanied by | grep or | grep -v
Please don't ever do this. grep is a big boy and can open files all on it's own.
It wasn't a law, just an industry agreement. Basically it lets them state "we are in compliance with agreement number FOO" in their marketing.
Since there's no cursor, what would the mouse move...?

Actually, they DID sign it, and now sell a $25 (USD) lightning-to-microUSB adapter (not included!) as their "compliance".
Hey, someone has to keep the alarm companies in business! Won't someone think of the rent-a-cops?!?
Still people say it is not enough and unemployed people should be a workforce of the government to clean parks etc. -.-
Or the government could help out and provide said park-cleaning as a JOB you could apply for!
There's a difference between "all Microsoft posts are positive posts." and "all posts are positive Microsoft posts".

Playing movies on your TV, that's pretty much the ONLY use for it since there's no way to control a mouse on the secondary display.
Or a cast iron frying pan!
The red dot DOES STUFF?!? Guess I need add another whitelist entry to noscript :(

Awarding inovative ideas and patents won't do anything to reduce the sheer montains of simple broad patents that are screwing up the industries.

Frankly, I have loaded guns hidden in all sorts of places around my house, so that I'm never far from one if I need one.
I hope all your neighbours no not to let their kids into your house.

Tell that to the DIMM stick I sent back to System76 after it kept crashing my desktop.
