  1. Re:It is all about fun. on Sony Continues To Lose Ground In Mobile Gaming · · Score: 1

It's a better media player than my Archos is the video quality is surprisingly good when encoded as AVC, Another bonus is I've read a ton of books on my PSP as well using a Homebrew App called Bookr I honestly think the PSP was one of the best purchases I've made and you are right a lot of the games are fun. On top of that people claim the PSP gets no games when it's been getting far better titles than the DS and others. God of War, Tekken 6, Football Manager, Fifa 10, Gran Turismo, Air Combat, Kingdom Hearts, Monster Hunter, Phantasy Star Portable and if you have a custom firmware you can run multiple emulators and a load of other apps.

I actually think metal gear solid peacewalker is the best game I've played this year on any console and that's another PSP only title there is also going to be a new monster hunter game out later in the year.

I'll have to disagree anything that causes the hype and commotion monster hunter 2nd g did in Japan is a serious threat to any other games system out there and the 3DS is proof positive Nintendo noticed.

I think Sony is often making suicidal/stupid decisions regarding the PSP although I have to say the PSP is in my opinion by far the best system for mobile gaming even now, there are still some really good games appearing for a few examples there is a new God of War in the works, Only out is Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker, Air Combat joint Assault.
I think the Nintendo 3DS does look very promising and from what I've seen it may be the PSP killer but I really think people making claims about the Iphone/Ipad being a competitor for the PSP are just plain delusional and this includes Sony themselves who seem to have believed the hype and are now trying to compete with their mini range of games and the really poorly thought out and overpriced Go! console.
If it isn't Obvious I have the dilemma where I really do like the PSP and use mine a lot even more than my main consoles in honesty, but at the same time I actively dislike Sony and almost all the decisions they have been making.

In response to that and my first post the game was bought at the biggest retail video game store in the UK there is no way at all that was that a pirate copy, the CD key was inside of the still shrink-wrapped box so basicly they were sending their games out with bad serials and then calling anyone who bought them pirates so yes I do blame them and they will never get a penny from me and I'll continue to spread this story where I can. I still buy many PC games but never from them. My first couple of attempts at resolving it involved waiting in their ticket system they had proof of purchase from photos of the box and the receipt and they first off just closed the ticket without responding to me at all. Second try then I got canned responses that didn't help me then just an email was suggesting I was a pirate trying to con them out of a serial. I honestly advise people to avoid them and I wouldn't even feel bad about pirating from them as they call their customers pirates anyway. Granted my first comment wasn't phrased very well as I just worked a 12 hour shift and was half asleep and I'll never download games I prefer the physical copy for a number of reasons.

Everyone always says Stardock is DRM free but I'll never buy another game from them but only time I ever bought from them it was Galactic Civilization 2 dreadlords unplayable with bugs and it wouldn't let me patch it. It justtold me the serial on the box was invalid and my efforts at resolving the issue through emails basicly ended with them basicly calling me a pirate and refusing me a working serial, the game was bought in a shop still shrink-wrapped at Game UK and returned. I've actually never had as much trouble with any other PC game so in my eyes their a shoddy company and not to be trusted.

I'll not be updating either but mostly because I just don't like the new chrome like GUI, this is another minus point however I like to see what's happening on my own PC it helps me troubleshoot if nothing else.

Nope I do the same if I'm not certain about what I'm buying I'm just not buying it. They do the same thing in supermarket moving items about randomly which also annoys me and I always just go somewhere else, when something isn't were I expect it I've better things to do than waste my time looking for it. Confusion doesn't work with me it just costs you my money.

I agree I hate the chrome UI myself and tend to use the menu bar quite a lot, after reading this I've disabled Firefox from being able to update in the future. I'd rather have a security risk with an old version than something that will annoy me to use.

I also bought one solely to legally get round a smoking ban in the UK and pretty amazingly I haven't smoked a real cigarette since that day it was never my intention to give them up. I just want my opinion noted that I feel a lot healthier than when I was smoking I have more energy my smell and taste atre back and I can walk quite considerable distances now without any problems. To put it bluntly these e-cigs were invented by a chinese fellow who lost someone to cancer and they work like a dream obviously well enough to scare the tobbaco/ medicine lobby. To ban these might even send me back to real cigarettes and end up killing me and who knows how many more, banning these without a doubt will end up killing a lot more people. So really what is the agenda here why do they want people to die?
