If you look at the last series of serious flightsims only a few were stable right out of the box. Mig Ally, Fly!, Falcon 4, the serious Janes series etc. all had their difficulties and only people *wanting* to play them very badly had the patience to wait for the endless stream of patches.
If you're new to the scene, a 300+ pages manual and a highly instable simulator is hardly entertaining.
