An interesting point. Sony did it with PS2, why couldn't Nintendo? It will be interesting to see if the Ncube has backward compatibility with the controllers. Although, it would be more interesting to see if the Ncube was backward compatible with the games (again, like Playstation 2), but we all know that's not going to happen.

Go here for information on the USS Scorpion. Although it was never confirmed on the exact cause of it's destruction, the theory is that a torpedo test is what sank it. After the Scorion, I believe, all US torpedos were fitted with 180 degree kill switches to prevent accidents like this. Could it be possible that during a missle test on the Kursk, the weapon went active and looked for the first availible target (finding the same ship that launched it)? Sounds plausible to me and this would probably explain what took them so damn long to ask for assistance on rescuing the crew. Whatever the case, a tragedy indeed...

Duh... Micro$oft has a weird habit of helping out smaller companies on a project, then releasing a similar product as competition. Then, markets the living hell out of it and takes over the market that the project/product is in. With that in mind, consider the following:

M$ helps Sega with the operating system (a version of Windows CE). Then, decides to jump into the console market.

Hmmm... Smells like monopolization to me. Why the heck would they not develop emulators for PSX/PS2/N64/Dolphin? If you had the emulators, why buy the hardware from Sony, Sega or Nintendo? Sounds like the next logical step in controling the console market to me...
