Time is the limited resource in football. Length of possession directly affects the other team's ability to score unlimited points, since points cost time.
Share of the market is not a limited resource? Seems like it caps at 100% to me.

Not at my school, buddy. My second year of CS studies was much closer to "hello world" than "implementing user-level multithreading..."
Not everyone leaves school because "Teach Yourself Perl in 24 Hours" is good enough to them. A lot of people leave school because they want to learn a lot, but the CS curriculum has been horribly dumbed down for the newbies who are only getting into the field because it pays well.
I worked on a CS degree for a few years. At the same time, I worked as a programmer. I can say without exaggeration that not a single useful thing I ever learned came from the CS program. Either I learned it first on the job or through reading or came to it on my own. I left school and haven't regretted it once, I've been able to get the jobs I want and I've always had the respect of my co-workers because I've shown I'm good at what I do.
In California, I've even been on several interviews where education never even came up in the discussion. Good programmers are needed so badly right now that many seem to not care. Will this last? Who knows?
Four years is much too long to spend learning CS in a classroom and much too short to expect to master it. The higher education system in America gets people into the mindset that four years is this magical number after which you're done learning and proving yourself. If lifelong learning is the key to success and you truly know how to learn, formal education is a waste of time and money.
What the hell? Act 4 only had three quests. I don't think I died once. We're supposed to wait six more months for only one act? It had better be hard.
I hope Blizzard is working on something damn cool besides this. Diablo 2 is just our Pac Man or Asteroids... fun & addicting, but just as shallow, compared to what we're capable of.
solicisms? prevelent?
judge not...
This guy is so my hero if this is not a hoax and he makes it.
Those who can, learn. Those who can't, sit in a classroom.

Didn't she kind of lose all credibility in the whole Samoan cultural relativism hoax debacle?
Likewise, being a manager may look appealing in the near term...

I think they meant "one new act that takes place in the Barbarian Highlands"

If DeCSS was renamed to some generic word like "the", wouldn't it be impossible to search for sites providing it?
...is getting used to sub-optimal coding environments. Or languages. Quit whining or drop out of school, like I did.
I need PSX2 this year for DVD & Final Fantasy 9/10/11/etc and because I just haven't had a console in forever.
Next year if there is a new Mario or Zelda title that does 3D right & corrects their N64 mistakes, I will need the N-Cube.
Then if MS-Bungie decides Halo is an X-Box-only title, or Enix likewise with the new Dragon Quest, I need that.
Oops, now Sega announces the Dreamcast 2 next summer, and of course it promises to display infinite polygons per second and save your marriage.
It will be fun to watch, in any event.

but what would you make with *those* bricks...

He/she noted they were British, DUMBFUCK.
