Pokemon, Digimon and other children's shows dont do it for me. Otaku seem to love them though.
Actually, in japan pokemon is obscenely popular with a VERY large group of the audience right now, not just children, or otaku, but "normal" japanese adults as well.
i thought the/. crew could perhaps differentiate between "good" anime and "bad monotonous otaku crap" anime
The problem with that is that different people consider different anime "good", and "monotonous crap", much the same as with American movies, and There is no way for one person to know what every one of the readers will consider to be "good", or "bad" anime.
Reboot is not anime in the sense that most Americans would think of it, however "Anime" is just the japanese word for animation, and technically any animated show or movie (yes, sadly, even disney S**t) qualifies as anime.
First off - and GOD I hate siding with MS on this part - but "prior restraint" implies stopping publishing BEFORE it occurs, not after. In this case the items have been published already.
I think he may have meant to say "prior attempts at restraint," not "attempts at prior restraint."

Actaully, the law is worded such that a minor could agree to the contract, if the company will let them, but the contract is not legally binding for the minor AT ALL, but is legally binding for the other party, Meaning that the minor would not be responsible, and neither would their parents. But I'm not sure, so if you were going to do this, you should check with someone else who would know the law better than me.
If you want something that's borderline illegal, take a look at the Lion King vs. Jungle King contraversy.
Or Lion King/Kimba: The White Lion(1950)

The original series was 2032 according to the logo during the intro. "Megatokyo 2032"

The Lion King appears to have been a blatant rip off of a 1950's B&W anime called Kimba The White Lion
Most Likely both.
