    I don't see your point, in one instance the victims cooperated and no one was hurt. In the other, the police were there to handle it, and again no one was hurt. Or were you trying to back me up?

    Its simple really, the same situation as the idiot who left a bill on the driver seat. You have a choice, you can be aware of the dangers in the world, and try to mitigate them. Or you can be a brazen fool, and reap the rewards that entails. In this scenario, an insured car, in a lawful state is not something worth dying over. The "victim" was at fault in that he could have chosen to hand over the keys and call the police. A pain in the ass, but he'd still be alive, and he'd probably get a new car out of it.

    Couldn't have said it better myself. I'll only add, the damn thing still can't play mp4's over my network. Sony continues to deny there is anything wrong with mp4 playback.

    You mean to tell me that you believe that trust has nothing with the companies that holds the keys to net for the average person. You do know QoS stands for quality of service, not choke our competitors of bandwidth. You want proper QoS, then take it away from the ISP's. You may even find out then it isn't nearly as necessary as they would have us believe.

    No I get networking, at least in a general sense. Like I said your right QoS needs to happen, bittorrent is low priority. But what I meant was your being naive if you really think ISP's are going to be fair or impartial about it. Call me names if you wish, guess you've never checked your spam folder.

    Here's the thing Sony and all the other don't do though. When the ToS/EULA changes and you chose not to accept (Because that's not the agreement you paid for.) There is no option to return the console or games for a full refund. When I bought my PS3 other OS was part of the package. When it was removed my options were; Accept the new ToS and loose other OS, or don't accept and lose the access to the psn. There was no option to refund since neither choice was what I paid for originally. It's their network and they can do as they please with it, but when that choice affects the value of my purchase, I should have the option of saying no, I'd like my money back please, here's your console.

    I guess you've never bought a pc from Best Buy. Put Linux on it and Best Buy wont touch it. Or you've never used an ISP that uses MSN for their portal. You need windows to activate the modem or get any kind of support. It happens all the time because most consumers do not have any understanding of the technology they are purchasing. It might as well be a toaster to them, just another appliance. The longer this attitude continues the more corporations will claw away at our freedom.

    Sony has proven their disloyalty to customers time and again. Its only a matter of time before PSN heads down the same road as xbox live.     Your fucking kidding right? An ISP sells me a set rate I expect that rate whenever I want to use it. If the ISP's spent half as much on their networks as they do on lobbing and legal, then bandwidth wouldn't be a problem. They need to stop overselling their network, stop treating their customers like criminals, and start competing for business like everyone else. You need to apologizing and rationalizing for them, unless you like the little jar of Vaseline they send with your monthly bill.

    You have to give Steve credit, he makes amazing products and has amazing ideas. He tapped a huge market, sheepole. They don't want to lean or think for themselves. They are perfectly happy in the little boxes on the hillside. So here comes apple with devices that fill that desire. Sheepole are so hungry for idiot proof devices that they will pay a huge premium to get them, not just in cost but freedom as well. Most don't even realize because the cage is so shinny. Even the employees, "working 90 hour weeks and loving it." Don't see the forest through the trees. Consumerism rums our lives, and our governments, and Steve Jobs is our next dictator.

    You know really pisses me off, is I didn't even buy my ps3 until after the august 2009 announcement. For those of you paying attention When the slim ps3 came out there was a price drop, that price drop was not retroactive to the older fat ps3's. So ya I paied close to 100$ extra for a feature they took away in less than a year. And yes I am one of those who plays games and uses "Other OS" I never had any intention of pirating games... til now

    Are you some kind of masocist? you don't need that many kernel updates. The WM, Xserver and most other complex "parts" at most require a restart of the Xserver, more often than not just a simple logout and backin again. Even the video drivers do not require a restart, unless your using the idiot button for propriety drivers.
