So what you're saying is it is completely and utterly worthless. Time is free. You right now are in the vicinity of at least two devices that can tell you the time.
A watch must do more or show off. They are either a fashion accessory or a functional gadget. Being able to tell time is it's least desirable feature, which is kind of why the more money you spend on a watch the less likely it is to keep as accurate time as a $10 Casio.
Our culture sucks and needs to end. Women forced to prostitute themselves just to get an education. What a shithole we live in.
Forced? Nothing forced about it. I actually know one of the girls registered on MyFreeCams. She's an educated and practicing nurse. She will also pay off her house faster than I will on an engineering wage considering how much money she makes camwhoring. Or at least she would if she didn't spend it all on her lavish lifestyle.
The only problem in our world is people with prejudices talking out of their arse.
The profit made of dropped phones is always ridiculous. In the interest of saving on labour most official phone repair shops will charge you for the full cost of the display / touch module when in reality the only thing that is broken is a thin sheet of glass. Removing the display / touch assembly from the glass is finicky but it can be done and my last repair cost $14 which included all the tools and even an UV light to cure the glue AND batteries for the light.
Simon has fallen victim to fake news. Russians didn't attempt to meddle with the election, Putin said so and Trump has the uttermost faith that his BFF isn't lying about that.
Is there any way to short bitcoin? Somebody could make a fortune!
Shorting is the same as any other stock market game. Had you made that prediction the last 10 times we discussed bitcoin pricing you'd be a very poor man.
This! I wish they would fix those dead pixels on the top. I mean one or two pixels would be passable, but a bar several mm wide and half the width of the phone? What if there's notification icons that it's covering up? It is really annoying for showing anything with pictures, videos, etc.
While they are at it can they add the pixels back to the corner? Most applications don't do the rounded corner bullshit.
Now they have to deal with people who want to transfer their ticket to somebody else because they couldn't go; bought it as a gift; or just want to give away their ticket.
Now if only there was an easy way to deal with this, such as an authorised re-sell portal that pegs the price to the original sales price.
There are events that operate this way too, and it costs you about a $5 service fee to transfer the ticket.
Well there are very few large trucks in suburbia for one thing.
So we've gone from: Can't do everything, To: Yes but it can't do most things in a normal situation. To: Yes but it can't do "this specific thing here which I don't realise how common it is because I have no clue how people actually use the roads"
No trucks in suburbia? Tell that to the postal service.
Good signage in surburbia vs city centre or on the highway? My god man you're speaking like a nutter;-P
As a Switch owner, PS4 owner and card carrying member of the PC master race there's one thing Nintendo has over all other platforms: They remember how to make fun games. So much of gaming (especially AAA titles) has become and incredibly boring grindfest, or graphics over story / substance. I think I have spent more time on the Switch this year than the two other gaming platforms combined.
The problem is not stupid people, is market price. If I have loads of disposable income and the opportunity to buy a ticket for double the price someone else paid that doesn't make me stupid for spending money on something I find valuable.
The problem is that locks out poor people which isn't really a good idea either. The problem could be solved instantly by requiring ID on entry and showing the method of payment as well as the receipt.
A broken implementation can at least be worked around
I wish someone would get to work on that. Point is, calling out a device for not being able to do something no one else has gotten right isn't sound logic.
A very small percentage of scenarios have been tested
If you think you can clock well over a million miles travelling in suburbia and only test a small number of scenarios, then I guess I was wrong, we only have a small number of scenarios to deal with.
Amazon and Google have "smart" speakers that can't even find DLNA audio on your home network. How smart is that?
To be fair to Amazon and Google, DLNA, UPnP, Airplay, and all those discovery based devices have always been a horrendous clusterfuck of working and not working. Doesn't matter if it's Google vs Sonos, Windows vs Samsung, or open source software vs open source software.
There is something seriously diseased in the way these things work.
There's a distinction between employee type. In most places casual workers don't get paid leave. Part timers however do. There's more too it then just being an employee or not.
Depends, are you an employee? I know of a contractor who works for himself. He pays himself the wage that his company company collects from whomever is using his services right now. He also has to set aside a small amount of money in a separate business account to cover the accrued cost of his holidays until he formally takes them.
Although nothing stops him from working while he's taking holidays which is how he gets around the annoyance.
Could you really make a TOS era show in this day and age, with banks of toggle switches and blinkenlights?
Back up a sec. Do you realise I'm talking about a central plot device, and you're talking about beautifying how a console looks? No one cares about that switches vs touchscreens. On the flip side something like the spore drive changes the complete plot dynamics of the entire Star Trek universe.
No batteries. Tells time. Crazy.

No you don't. You do need to preach the virtues of piping ALL your traffic through, which is the original stupid point.
I mean wouldn't want your government to know that you're opening SSL connections to www.slashdot.org now would we.

Makes you feel free, don't it.
Makes me feel free to post about doing something that a majority of people do? Did you have an aneurysm while posting?
Simon has fallen victim to fake news. Russians didn't attempt to meddle with the election, Putin said so and Trump has the uttermost faith that his BFF isn't lying about that.
Dunno, you tell me, how much lag do you get playing games?
"Typical" varies. Which is also why VPN use varies.
Sorry what's the downside again?

Why would a remote control vibrator have a "chat function"?
You've never been on the internet have you?

I use PIA too, it is far slower than 200/40, which is why it isn't even remotely on all the time.

I keep my VPN up permanently with a kill switch so that it fails safe.
You'd be in the minority who's so afraid of downloading an episode of GoT that you'd gimp your internet connection to do it.
The original Star Trek was made of isolated episodes and not a series. You could play them in any order and they'd still make sense.

I just took like 2 weeks off from Uber.
Did you get paid during that time. You know, like the "time off" we are talking about right now?
