And they'll just tail you night and day, just as if they had a GPS on your car, and they won't need a warrant.
How is this about my online rights, exactly?
That takes manpower. That's not something you can do willy nilly. They'll be damn sure the person is a suspect before doing that.
Tackers can put be on a bunch of cars and automatically monitored for viewing later at cops leisure.
Meaning the GPS trackers can be used as a dragnet - let's put one on a bunch of folks' cars and see what we find regardless if they're a suspect or not. Cops then see what they think is suspicious and create a story around it (intentional or not) and now innocent guy is a suspect for a crime in the imaginations of the cops. Or innocent guy just happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and innocent guy is now in a bunch a legal trouble.
In 2002 when I still had TV, right before the ramp up, ex-Soviet commanders were commenting that they've been there, done that, and got the T-Shirt.
They knew what we were in for.
When you see photos of Afghanistan and see all that rubble, guess who did that? The Russians bombed them back into the Stone Age and they still couldn't get them under control - and if you consider that the Soviets didn't give a rat's ass about PR, I'm sure they didn't pull any punches like we do (read: the didn't give a shit about civilian casualties)
Bush KNEW this would be folly if they didn't have an adequate plan but Nooooooo, he went in there shoot'in up the place with no plan.
Seriously? The guys been in the paper constantly the last few months and has given countless interviews. My mother knows his name. Oh, and he looks like Bill Maher but slightly gayer and more strung out.
Yes, Seriously. I guess everyone missed my point.
WikiLeaks has been around for years and it has only been in the last couple of months that he's come out of the woodwork to defend what they have done.
Before this episode, one would would have to look kind of hard to get his name and his photo wasn't the easiest thing to find - I tried a couple of years ago when WikiLeaks first started making waves.
The documents leaked so far illustrate the frustration of U.S. forces in fighting the protracted Afghan conflict and revived debate over the war's uncertain progress.
These documents are showing that the US' operation aren't doing too well. WikiLeaks is holding back stuff that may endanger people's lives.
This is all about the Pentagon and the Government trying hide their incompetence and stupidity. It's also to trying to keep information out of our hands to keep the support for the wars from it's continual slide down.
Fame whore? Without googling, off of the top of your head, what's the full name and correct spelling of the guy behind WikiLeaks? And what does he look like?
You see, this is about protecting the developer and protecting users. See, unlike Microsoft, Apple will patent these ideas so that the developer, who doesn't have the resources that the big benevolent Apple has, and therefore, prevent cheap, buggy, hard to use, crappy knock-offs. The Apple user benefits because they are assured of a quality software product - unlike Microsoft.
I don't know if she was legit. She and her associate had a stack of those lawn signs - it doesn't make sense if they were casing the place. After I told her I wasn't interested, she and her associate left and moved on to another house. They didn't linger. They weren't looking around. They didn't do anything else.
My best guess was that maybe they were just trying to make it look like they had a bigger presence in the neighborhood than they did - for marketing reasons.
Just get some realistic looking ADT stickers (from eBay) that will make the thieves think you have a security system.
Several months ago, a woman with an ADT logoed polo shirt and Khaki pants knocked on my door and said "I'm not here to sell you a system. I just want to know if I can put one of our signs on your front lawn."
I was eating dinner and wanted her to go away, but now I wished I asked why - that was a weird request.
You could put fake cameras and blinking lights, but that might tell a thief that there's something worth stealing.
exactly! That's why I put stickers with images like this and this on my valuables. And scatter around photographs of people in advanced stages of AIDS and Leprosy around with captions of "me with my buddies..."
All of have to do just install anti-spyware software - no need to even run it - and the French spyware immediately uninstalls itself without me having to do anything.
I can see folks taking airships around the Caribbean, Hawaii,Alaska - especially over the whales, or over any other touristy type of place.
That would be something I would be interested in.
There's a couple of folks who make nice livings taking folks on their sailing ships around during the vacation season and off season, they just do there thing. Work 4 months off 8.
Imagine this... you're in the helium airship and it comes across a micro black hole. Black hole's gravity compresses the helium to the point for fusion...and BAM! thermonuclear explosion!
Nope! We should ban this right now!!!

I thought Wave was some sort of surfing app or something physicists used for their QED experiments.
I like how we are merely consumers and no longer Citizens now.
Fuckers.
Corporatism, baby. Eventually, all countries will be governed the same way: for the corporation; by the corporation. The government will be to give us consumer/workers a legal framework.
If that last one provokes even a little discussion, step 6 should be "find a new job". Braceless ifs are a great way to cause mysterious bugs when somebody modifies the code down the line...
But wouldn't that mean someone modified the code without understanding it?

I think they're full of shit.
Other justices have corporate law backgrounds...
That explains a lot.

So yes, I'll blame Bush - he deserves it.

We're in another Viet Nam type era.
But I bet they would.

Reading my post after a while....it's pretty sad when you post something that looks like a drunken ramble ....when you're sober.
Your patent lawyer told you to post anonymously?
So? How did I do?
...you'll see that you gave Apple all the rights to your IP
But still, the developer published his application. Wouldn't that make it prior art or something?
I've never had a problem with theft.
Or dates.....
Only if they're not pitted.
What?!

And 90% of all american users are ok with this only if no one else spy on them. Talk about a morons country.
The Security Threat Report also found that the US is still has the majority (42.29 percent) of malware-hosting websites.
USA! USA! USA!
