boy, guess someone's bias against microsoft runs real deep, doesn't it.. i've had my xbox on since nov 15th practically, not one GSOD, not one crash, and no overheating.
and that whole harddrive/memory card thing is a great idea, imo.
yeah, i agree. i was saying they probably should have done some more testing before putting these things in the kiosks... (granted, i haven't seen one for myself, but, eh.)
i imagine retail versions will have some better thermal protection.. and not be running 5 month old E3 demos.
ah, MS bashing at it's 'finest'

well, i'd bet more on the 5-month old version of oddworld they were running as demos.. plus the older hardware.
yes they run rather warm, etc.. but they're also not meant to be used for such long periods of time (granted, it should be expected in quality testing, but still) in such a small enclosure.
plenty of games have locked up before, and on other systems as well... but of course, since its slashdot, we should focus on microsoft and the evil from redmond.
no i'm not a microsoft supporter, yes i've played the console before, no it's not crashed on me.
yeah, i'm using it at my apartment. they'll serve anyone, even if they give the 'business only' impression.
just whenever i call up for tech service (which i haven't had to do in months) they ask me my business name, and i tell them it's a home account. *shrug*
i'm on ATG (www.callatg.com) and it's working great. any speed i can get for $49/mo line and isp cost.
they also offer local/long distance telephone service here, and its cheaper than qworst. guess someone needs to realize that covad wasn't the last non-bell provider left.
that's only funny cause there was a MSDN ad on the page for me. :)
"The genre, already succesful on the PC, has yet to be tested on a console audience"
um. don't suppose any of you guys have heard of Phantasy Star Online? guess not.

as for games, look at anything by squaresoft, pretty much. sound and graphics have always been amazing.
other than that, do your own research. sheesh.
