    I dunno, getting rid of the large amount of gunpowder on a ship seems like a damn good investment to me. The gunpowder just takes one hit and the entire ship goes down.

    The idea that a particle decays differently than its anti-particle is not something new ie Kaons so it is entirely possible from that end. And the Big Bang was dealing with energies much much higher than what we deal with even in the LHC so it is entirely possible to be made of quarks that are much much more massive than the ones we have currently discovered right?

    Oooh, I can find the difference.
    The guy who owns the 7-11 now has to pay to replenish his stolen inventory whereas if you download a song, nobody has to pay anything to replenish inventory.

    Which makes sense if you are on the outskirts of the blast radius because the flying debris is more dangerous than anything else at that moment.

    If the government had to build giant platforms 10 miles out to sea and require all people entering to stop there before coming into the country so their stuff could be inspected, they would. The courts give them some leeway as a nod to the fact that would be ridiculous for people trying to come in.

    I am not sure about that, cause I remember reading that a Nobel laureate had criticisms of it for just that reason.

    What you want to do is to have something you copyrighted on your laptop, so if they copy your hard drive you can sue them for copyright infringement.

    Generally, I agree with the mission of customs, inspect stuff coming into the country. But it does not take 5 hours to do so for some guys laptops and a person should not be required to hand over passwords to their own computers.

    The real big question is how are we supposed to expect online privacy when its the government itself that is trying to take it away. So long as my IP is tied to me instead of my internet connection, there will be no privacy.

    If its your job to carry stuff around every day, then yes, they will wear it everyday. I am sure the army has plenty of grunt positions within supply that required moving around lots of boxes.

    Buy one suit, military keeps it repaired for 20 years, 20 years of 2 people in the military > 1 suit.
