    Actually, you can be declared innocent in a trial, its just super hard to do and the difference is that the entire trial is removed from your record.

    Actually, it was science on why they believed that. All evidence they had pointed to that being the case for the universe. Hell, using evidence, they determined that the Earth was flat because the earth really hardly curves from ground level. It was later that new evidence proved those wrong aka science doing what science does.

    Its like an NDA, its not wrong for the truth to be given out, it's wrong for breaking your word in that you promised not to tell people. Also, if the truth leads to people dying, then maybe they should have been better at making sure that the truth wouldn't do that.

    The problem in that instance is not the telling of the truth but the breaking of your word that you won't tell anybody.

    But say, God operates on quantum scales to affect the larger universe? There is plenty of randomness in the Universe, what if that randomness is God in action?
    Also, one of the larger supported beliefs in Philosophy of Science is that for something to be scientific it has to be disprovable.

    You cannot disprove the existence of God therefore he isn't science. Science is only science because you can disprove it.

    That is a weak analogy, the bioscientists are attacked because a perceived belief that they are playing God by messing with life. Climate Scientists don't really do anything except collect data.

    Global warming is like old age, when you are young you might worry a little about death. When you get middle aged, you really worry about death. When you get old, meh, Death? Can't wait to meet him. As we get closer we will come to realize it all ain't that bad.

    But, thermodynamics also says that heat transfers at a rate that depends on the difference in temperature. If the thermosphere cools more, that means less heat can be transferred to our part of the atmosphere. Meaning to save the Earth, we must make the Thermosphere, Even Colder!
