How do you take someone seriously that says stuff like this. I'm sure he thinks he's being tough and serious.. but it just comes off like a bad joke.

SCO SCO SCO!

I'm suprised some of the SCO shareholders haven't sued the directors for essentially making SCO stock worthless. It may have seen a temporary increase when this mess started, but its been on the downslide lately, and announcing ignorant lawsuits isn't going to help.
YellowTAB comes by default with a number of useful Tracker add-ons, including a brand new one named "Fax these files", which loads a new FAX-It application created by YTAB+friends especially for Zeta.
Because one often needs to fax files to someone, it is important to have an easy way to do so.
Another great thing that I love about the Dano/EXP codebase -- now found at Zeta -- is the "smooth window dragging", which is explained here better (only visible on CRT monitors, LCDs won't feel the difference). MacOSX is the only other OS that has this feature
This feature as it is explained at the link is also present in windows. So Windows, MacOSX and Beos all have the same feature.. its not really worth talking about in a review unless you are making fun of pre X macos.
There is a reason why the taskbar has been at the top of Macintosh computers since 1984. Apple knows usability, or at least it did when it creating the original Macintosh interface guidelines. And the reason for keeping the taskbar at the top is that users spend the majority of time moving the mouse around in the upper half of the monitor, because that's where most of the content and title bars are located. Therefore, it is much more efficient to keep your taskbar at the top, where awkward mouse movements can be minimized (and that is always good for reducing CTS), especially on a 21" monitor with a high screen resolution. On a lesser note, it is also more visually consistent with the idea of title bars for windows, as you could consider the task manager a "title bar" for the OS
Its funny how every mac user claims that having the taskbar at the top is a good idea and yet they all claim its a good idea for a different reason.
I hate bloat as much as the next person, but I tend to find this minimalistic window managers a little lacking.
What is wrong with icons? Really.. icons are a perfectly good way to launch applications that you use often. The desktop isn't doing anything else, so why not put some icons on there.
Whats up with 1px borders? Those must be easy to grab onto and manipulate at high resolutions.. oh yeah you can use the keyboard. Whats the point of having borders that you can manipulate if you can't really do anything with out using the keyboard.
Minimalistic wm's would be great if the designers actually took gui concepts into account instead of trying to emulate the console. People who like using the keyboard to do everything, use the console not wm's.
am i the only one that thinks splitting the space bar in half and making the left half of it into a backspace is a stupid idea. people learn to type on keyboards that have the space bar under either hand, its ignorant to assume that only the right hand will be used for space. backspace and space and totally different, its really annoying to be typeing along and delete the last character of every word you type and string all of your words together because some keyboard designer thought it would be cute to make half the space bar into a backspace key.. atleast make it a programable key so people can make it back into a space bar. if you make it just a backspace or delete key, its not really possible to remap it without messing up the backspace key that is in the proper location.
The constitution doesn't enumerate rights, people that think so are stupid. The constitution lays out what the gov't can do and says that everything else is reserved for the people.
Not to mention the fact that Roe v Wade established a constitutional right to privacy atleast for women.
I've seen an NES emulator and collection of roms that fit on 2cd's so I'd imagine that the entire NES Collection would take atleast 2 cds and possibly more if you want to get all the bootleg roms where people changed existing games.
A lot of people will say its because the providers are using more expensive harddrives than the average home user, and that might be true in some cases, but the majority of small providers are going to be using the same ide harddrives that you would use at home.
My theory is that they limit the space to indirectly limit the bandwidth used. I know a site that I administer for a friend of mine has something like 5 gig bandwidth transfer for free included in the monthly hosting price, but really it would hard to use that much bandwidth with the amount of content that can be stored in the space that you are allotted.

listening to eugenia (the reviewer) is always a mistake... she really is a blight on the beos community
Amen.

so get rid of explorer and set your shell=progman.exe and you'll get basically the same thing as windows 3.1x

but even then, anyone that has used windows for 6 months or so can figure out how to click on the start button and lauch the app that they want.

There's no news on whether criminal charges may be filed, as threatened when the original exploit took place.
Your honor, the accused made use of features available in the game that my clients charged them to play, for this your should lock them up.

And what is exactly "Slick" in Safari? It's not slicker than any mozilla-derivated browser.
The fact that its not a mozilla derived browser. Its based on the kthml rendering engine.
top/Reload use the same button, depending on whether or not the page is loaded. Why didn't anyone else think of this?
Because then you couldn't use stop to stop animated graphics and such from replaying on already loaded sites.

it's just like friendster.com
so, as soon as SCO announces what code it is, Novell coule just grant the linux community a free license to it.
Shares of SCO closed down $2.11, or more than 24 percent, at $6.60 on the Nasdaq. Novell gained 13 cents, or 4.3 percent, to $3.13.

They could just release a version that required a bootdisk.
only if they are using sega ip in the game or the boot code for the game.

Where are the bit torrent links? You know its free karma.. come on people.
just get an ac or get central air for your house. what is the question that you are asking?
