Gee, you think they are being overly cautious? kind of an understatement. I wish any law enforcement personnel that had anything to do with this should be fired on the spot. This world is now officially out of control now that people can be arrested for planning a water fight. I am planning a pillow fight tonight and only hot babes are allowed to join in. I hope they are not monitoring slashdot right no.

You are right as long as YOU own every part of the chain you are fine. As soon as your 1's and 0's go out to a privately owned network/website/whatever then that is where it ends. Any American's right to free speech extends as far as the street corner where you can get up on your soap box and say what ever you want as long as it doesn't violate any laws (like inciting violence or slander etc) It wouldn't surprise me if the creators of the Muhammad page where pursued under various laws of the above nature. Even Rupert Murdoch's right to publish what he wants ends and can be censored when the message is carried on somebody else's property. It blows me away when everybody gets all "free speech violation" "how dare you censor me" Please mod parent up and feel free to mod me down, my karma is already bad :)

You really had me right up until you started your rant on claims of victimization. Through out history religions have been persecuted and have done their fare share of persecuting. God forbid if Johnny brings a bible to school or or Mrs. Smith the third grade teacher mentions she believes in creation, or some court house has the ten commandments on the wall OMG The society will crumble. Both sides have their nut cases that would rotisserie someone on the other side. Hell I might even be stoned to death in the street If I started spewing anti-homosexual remarks in the wrong place. For the most part society and religion has moved on from the bad old days. So chill out.
